Efi held his tail very still so as not to interrupt the braiding process. "If you like," he said. "That would certainly be a treat for me. Perhaps I could brush yours, as well," he said with a smile. He watched her careful progress; the small braid was nowhere as neat as he could do, but he didn't mind at all.

"Okay," Etain offered cheerfully, then finished off the braid with a smile. It was messy, it was uncertain, but Etain had certainly tried her best!
Amused, Shiro covered his mouth to hide a smile and a laugh, gold eyes glancing up at the yuniko. "You've made a friend for life, now. She'll never let you go at this point."

Efi lifted his tail to take a look at the braid, and grinned at Etain. "Wonderful," he said. "I shall definitely ask you to do it again sometime."
He slid a sidewise, amused glance at Shiro. "I'm glad," he said simply. "She's lovely."

"Of course she is. She's the most lovely girl anywhere," Shiro offered cheerfully. "But then, I'm rather biased."
Etain glanced up at Efios, then smiled shyly. "Thank you Mister Efios sir," she whispered, then tied a bow around the braid of Efios' tail.

"Oh, it's entirely understandable," Efi said, settling more comfortably on the bench. "Maybe someday I'll have a little one to look after." There was a faintly wistful tone to his voice.
He poked at the bow with his finger. "Now I'm all pretty," he nodded, amused.

Etain ducked her head again. "You can keep it if you like..." she offered. "I got lots of ribbons."

"May I?" Efios asked."Thank you - it will remind me of you." He reached out to ruffle her hair gently.

The sylph giggled helplessly at the hair-ruffling, then fixed the ribbon a bit more and sat back.
Shiromaru stood up, then, and reached down to lift Etain into his arms. "We should be heading back inside, Efios. But you're welcome to come by at any time."

Efi stood and bowed again. "Thank you. It's nice to make your acquaintance; I don't know many people in the area yet. I do hope to see you both again." He picked up his staff and leaned on it, giving Etain a quick sparkling grin.

Etain fought with herself for a moment, then suddenly reached out to Efios despite being in Shiro's arms. "Hugs?" she asked, hopefully.

Efi glanced quickly up to Shiro to make sure it was okay before leaning over to give the little girl a quick hug. So sweet - none of the cousins were quite this darling, not even Sallah, who could generally get her way with a single pout.

Happily, Etain hugged Efios, then snuggled into Shiro's arms. The demon grinned at Efios and waved to him, then called his wings out and took to the air, flying back to the house. "We'll see you later!" he called down to the yuniko, then disappeared over the hill.

... Well. Efi's eyebrows lost themselves in his mane at the sudden appearance of wings - Shiro was apparently somewhat more than he seemed at first impression. He shook his head with wonder and started back along the path the way he'd come. It seemed that he'd made new friends, once again - he was starting to like this area, intimidating as it had seemed when he'd first arrived.
As he headed back home, he began to sing, absent and cheerful.
