The HP lexicon's breakdown of the books. Wow. And I thought that we took this stuff seriously. It was insane. They have taken quotes from the chapters and have pointed out inconsistencies and interesting moments and come up with the most interesting jokes.
How many of you have read this stuff?
They also have an in depth essay on the students in Harry's year at Hogwarts, which was fascinating.
I swear, I am turning into Scottie. Next thing you know I'm going to be looking up the historical significance of the characters in InuYasha or something. *cough* Join Dueling Club at the Haven *cough*

I agree. When I get bored, I just read some of the stuff they have and it is amazing. A lot of theories I now have are involving things about those essays. Anytime I need to figure something out about a character, I go there. The creaters are amazing. biggrin

Oh my gosh, there's historical significance to the characters in InuYasha?! exclaim eek It's not that surprising, but it's very cool nonetheless. I might have to look that up later...
Anyway, the essays are quite interesting. smile I haven't read them all, of course, but the few I've read were done well.

You'll find that stuff like InuYasha probably does have some sort of historical basis whether in actual history or legends. I mean, I'm reading Full Metal Alchemist, and there is some historical basis to it with the homunculi, ouroboros, and philosopher's stone...a little historical basis, but still.

Yeah, most Japanese Anime has some sort of historical references. Scottie has a folder about two inches thick on the history and legends that inspired InuYasha. But back to Harry Potter... yeah, I love this site. I have been reading it in my spare time for like 2 weeks.
