My colorguard doesn't march. I'll be starting my third year and even teh captains in my previous years didn't care. The whole guard just thinks their feet can do whatever they want. Which makes me angry, because the guard is part of the band, and we are a MARCHING band. stare Meh.
Does this happen anywhere else? Thankfully I'm captain this year, so I'm going to crack down.

OH MY GAWSH. i extremely dislike our color guard because sometimes they don't march. but even if they do, THEY ARENT SYNCHRONIZED. they cant throw their flags in the air at the same time ><
im a picc. and our section had a part when we put our instruments down on the sideline and pick up the guard's poles (without flags). we did it better. =_=
not to sound like im hating, but i totally understand what you feel like when the guard doesnt march...hopefully your guard arent as bad as ours

Parade lines are also a hot mess because nobody understands the word 'interval', or how to keep one. I used to march in the back because I kept us from better 20+ yards away from the band, but now I'll have to march in the very front. :/

In my bands, the colorguard usually marches with the band during band camp. Sometimes, they'll be doing something else instead, but they're still pretty good. The only group I have problems with are the cheerleaders. Their dances are pathetic. Color guards should be able to march, as marching is the best way to improve timing.

We'ew marching with the band during camp, but nobody really checks on the marching or gets on anybody not doing it right.

Our color guard doesn't really "march", but they definitely move in time with us. Our director gets really involved with the guard, and is really working on their technique for moving and stuff, since we have a lot of newbies this year.

Our color gua...I mean dance team actually marches this year. Previous years they just attempted to march. The attempts were horrible. This year, my BD's daughter is captain of the color gua...I mean dance team(they just changed it to dance team this year and I keep forgetting it) actually marches in time and better than the band.
