User Image Thank God Simon had the ability to reign himself in and pull back, because honestly? Annabel could see why teenagers spent the entire night doing this. Foreheads together, her face was slightly flushed- honestly, though, the girl was grinning from ear to ear, and not in a way that made her look psychotic. Probably a first on this island, if either of them really thought about. But god, she was just in ecstasy right now- entirely forgetting the cameras, the island, even Chris McLean himself.

And oh god, at the contact behind her ear, Annabel started giggling. Not the fake kind she'd put on in front of Lizzy, or even the maniacal laugh she typically used- but genuinely kind. Loving. Flicking her ears in just the slightest hint of embarrassment, she was trying to figure out just what the hell she was going to say- Ariel wasn't around to drag her off this time, and she was honestly at a loss for words. Thankfully, as per usual, Simon seemed to be entirely in control- grin dimming to a slightly less giddy state, but still a terribly contented smile, Annabel's tail gently wagged.

"...You're absolutely perfect, Tiger, y'know that?"

Wow, that smile...

If Annabel was brightening, then Simon was a mirror bouncing the feeling right back at her in full force. He relaxed himself against the wall of the cabin and allowed himself to sit there, blatantly admiring her giddiness for the seconds it took for her to figure out what she wanted to say - he figured at this point he'd earned the right to do so without worrying about the consequences. There was a soft sweeping noise as his tail contentedly swished back and forth, brushing a bit against the ground.

Her answer made him flush deeply, ears pulling back in slight surprise. Sure, he hadn't known what to expect in a response from her, but... he couldn't recall another time when someone had complimented him like that and really meant it. It took all he could do to not let his eyes shift bashfully away from her when he said, "I'm just glad I could do something to help you feel a little better..."

User Image "A little better?" She asked, a hint of the cheeky cockiness returning to her tone once more. Raising her eyebrows just a hint, face still elated and happy, Annabel simply gave him an incredulous look- diminished entirely by the fact that she was simply too giddy to look imposing at all. Shifting again so that she rested in his lap, curled against chest, Annabel sighed contentedly. With all the time that she'd spent cuddled up next to him, she really was going to miss Simon when she headed back home. Nobody'd ever been this easy to simply relax around- or this willing to be in close contact with her. God, it was just so nice.

"Simon, if that's your idea of making a girl feel a little better, I'd really like to see your ideas on really cheering someone up." She'd given the sentence just enough tone to make an innuendo out of it, but hopefully not enough to scare the boy off. She was far too happy- and comfy, she supposed- to be content with the idea of going back into the cabin just yet. Simply closing her eyes and listening to Simon's heartbeat, she was... at peace with the world. No thoughts of murder, no bursts of anger, nothing. Crooning softly in content, she glanced up to Simon.

"Can we just... stay out here a while, Simon? I... really don't want to have to go back in and face anyone. Not yet, anyway."

It was a relief to hear a bit of her old self start to trickle back into her voice, and Simon couldn't help but take just a teeny bit of pride in the fact that he'd been the one at least somewhat responsible for it. When she was done adjusting herself he allowed his arms to gently fall back around her waist - not holding or hugging this time, just... relaxing, and sharing the feeling.

The innuendo she injected into her words was well-placed, not enough to freak him out but not too little to fly over his head either. He gave a small laugh in response, even managing an equally good-humored reply: "Oh, I'm sure I'd be able to come up with something." If she were to look up, she'd even see him tacking on an extremely uncharacteristic faux-casanova smirk, just for the fun of it.

Underneath that, though, he actually was already starting to think of things he might be able to do here to get her to smile more. Might as well try, after all they've been through already...

That train of thought was briefly derailed when Annabel spoke again... and another gentle smile blossomed on his face when her question reached his ears. "Sure," he responded, drawing his knees up a bit so she could rest a little more comfortably.

"I'd like that."
