If you were going to reccomend j-pop or j-rock, you can turn back now, and run while you can! I'm looking Traditional Japanese folk music. Be it for the court, festivals, or in kabuki. Preferably without annoying girly vocals. I want stuff that sounds like this

 You will probably strangle me for this suggestion, but the Okami soundtrack has some pretty sweet traditional Japanese music, like the one in the video you posted. No vocals, though.
