Bruce went today to check out a job at a fancy country club.
The two of us actually wound up crying last night. We had to hide from the waitstaff though. I'm the only one who knows that he might be leaving.
If he leaves I'm going to be devastated. The only reason I work every Monday and Thursday is because he was working.
I just sent him a text asking if he took the job, but he said he'd tell me later. I doubt he's even talked to the boss yet.
I just want to know what he's going to say. I'm not allowed to say a word to any co-workers. I kind of want to go into work knowing what his decision is and if he told Pat so I know what I'm walking into.
But yeah, if he shows his face tonight and says he's leaving I'll probably wind up losing it in the middle of the kitchen.
This is like the first time I'm facing losing a co-worker I really like. The last couple of cooks got fired for being assholes and them leaving really didn't bother me.
I mean, I should be happy for bruce. He might have a job as head chef at a really fancy place. He can make up his own specials instead of cooking whatever the boss tells him to make.
But I'm terrified of him leaving. He's more than a co-worker. He's a friend.
Plus, who knows what kind of cook we'll get to replace him. Most cooks out there are not very nice and extremely temperamental and psycho.

Aww I love the chefs where I work. They're so awesome, it's almost like they've been kept under a rock. Social interaction is not what they're good for, but I get along with them. Kate, she's the best, she's always on her break at the time I'm in the staff room. She's just got an amjazing out look on life, you don't bother me I won't bother you. xD
She's been wanting to get a dog, oh the laughs, I would have to ring the RSPCA if this happened =P
But yeah, I doubt you'd lose your friend. You could see him out of work?

All of the cooks we get are ******** insane.
One was constantly drunk at work. Once he was so drunk he couldn't even handle putting plates on trays. And he was out in the parking lot dancing while he had 6 tables waiting for food.
The one before that would throw s**t. He almost beamed my friend in the head with a pair of tongs. Luckily they hit the microwave right next to my friend. The tongs bounced in the deep fryer.
And Bruce lives like 45 minutes away. And it's hard to like hang out and s**t because of our schedules.
