A Lesson on How to Dress
Most people freak out over getting dressed when they know they are: going on a date, going to see the person they like, trying to find someone to like. So here is my advice. . . .
GIRLS
If you are looking for love DO NOT wear clothes that shows alot of cleavege! Wearing this kind of clothes will probably attract the kind of guys that have one thing on their mind.
What you wear needs to express who you are at all times. If you are a girly person then wear a pink summer dress, If you are a simple person wear your plain white tee and your favorite jeans, and so on and so forth.
Now, if you want a little flair to your outfit then add a little accessories! There are all types of jewelry to wear for whatever style you show. Ponytail holders and clips can express you while holding up tour favorite hairstyle. Purses, bags and other things you carry can have your favorite design or little charms. Shoes can have some awesome shoelaces. There are endless opportunities to spice up your look.
When going on a date follow the same advice but be aware of dressing right for the place you are going. Your pink summer dress won't be good for a sporty date if you're playing, and your tee and jeans look isn't respectable enough for a formal or dance.
So basically: do not overdress, do not underdress, express yourself and you will find the kind of guy who likes you for who you are instead of what he assumes by what you wear.
IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE IN WHAT YOU ARE WEARING DO NOT WEAR IT!
BOYS
Your look is a lot more simple than a girl's but is NOT in any way easier to maintain or less expressive of who you are.
If you're the type of guy who rocks out to music all day then wear a shirt with your favorite band. If you're the type of guy who lives an athletic lifestyle then wear a jersey with your favorite player and their number.
Amping up your look shouldn't be to difficult. Wear your hair in a mohawk if you're a rebel. If you carry a backpack then get out your black sharpie and add a little something like a skull with crossbones. Wear a chain around your neck or a class ring on your finger.
Just because you're a guy doesn't mean you can't look fresh and smell clean. Keep your hair neatly trimmed. Put on a LITTLE of your favorite cologne. If you have a cool scar don't pick at it. And if you have been working out a little sweat is ok because it's a proven fact that girls may be attracted. otherwise make sure you shower.
IMPORTANT: if you're going to meet the parents it is best to dress nice. I'm not saying to put on your tux, I am saying to get on nice black pants and a solid color long sleeve shirt. It helps and once they get used to you they will be a little more accepting if you wear sagging jeans.
