Aileena couldn't help but worry as she padded north. The sun was already beneath the mountains, and so the light was becoming very limited. She really needed to be more careful about staying out too late, but she had gotten so distracted tracking down that rare herb that time had simply escaped her. Now it was nearly dusk and she could barely see what was in front of her and she still had a ways to go before her den.... Even knowing that it was dangerous for her to pick up speed when she couldn't see well, she could no longer fight the fear bubbling inside her at being stuck outside again that night. This caused her to break into a lope, even though she was semi blind now and couldn't properly see the obstacles ahead of her. Her luck had held out so far, so she could only hope it continued that way....

But that was not to be. She had been sticking close to the foothills of the mountain, since that was the fastest way to get back to her den which was straight north. Apparently, that was a popular route though, because before she could stop, the pale blue female ran straight into another furry body. Skidding backwards as quickly as she could so as to minimize damage, the female started blurting out her apology, hoping that she wasn't in trouble.... "Oh, I-I'm s-so s-sorry...."

Stacia let out a cry and hunched down ready to defend herself. She blinked in the darkening dusk to try and make out what exactly had just happened. The other small female was in apparent regret for running into her, so Stacia eased off instantly.

Stacia's voice was smooth and seeped out in a rush of words. Her concern was very apparent in her voice as she stepped closer.

"It's alright. Are you okay? You seem a bit lost."

Stacia's light fur shook as if shaking out the incident and onto the dusty ground beneath them.

Aileena was instantly relieved when the other female proved to not be hostile about the accident. That was lucky wasn't it! The female's kind words were also quite reassuring, and gave the blue female some confidence that she wasn't going to be injured at any point in the near future. Sighing a bit, she raised her eyes from the ground where they had been and peered at the pale female in the weakening light. Thanks to the other's very light coat, Ailee's weak eyes could make out her general shape and markings, but then the strain became to great and she blinked a few times and everything around her became faint again. "Y-yes, I'm fine.... I-I'm very sorry that I ran into you...." Feeling that she needed to offer some explanation, and she had never been all that good at lying, the adult carried one, "I-I can't see very well, and I know I shouldn't have been running so fast, but I need to get home before it's dark and I won't be able to see at all...." Sighing a bit at her rather candid admission of her disability, Ailee tilted her head as she looked worriedly at the other, caught between wanting to get home as fast as possible, wanting to make sure that she really hadn't done any damage, and wanting to meet someone new....

Stacia shook her head to ease the other's nerves.

"I'm just fine."

Stacia had been caught off guard by the sudden seeping of information from the other female. It didn't bother her, it was just strange for a Saigh to spill out their information so readily.

"Why are you late at getting home? Come, I'll make sure you get home alright please don't worry yourself to death."

Stacia stepped forward so Aileena could see her much better.

Reassured that the female insisted that she was unharmed, Aileena nodded, showing the pale female that she believed her. She had been about ready to sprint past her and continue on her rather reckless race again the dusk, but the other's words caught her just in time. "Oh! Thank you so much!" She stopped squinting nearly as much, since as the female moved closer, it was much easier for Ailee to see her, and her pale coat made it likely that with a bit of moonlight, the pale blue female would be able to see Stacia even at night.

At the question of how it was that she had become so late, a smile broke Aileena's face, "Oh! There is a herb in the southern region of the plains that I've been looking for. I've only seen it there once before, but it's very useful for reducing the swelling that accompanies many injuries, so I thought I'd try to look for it. But I got distracted and it got so dark." The slight whimper that accompanied the end of her sentence betrayed just how much she feared the dark. Glancing around her once more, already not being able to see much of anything due to the disappearance of the sun behind the mountain range, Aileena's blue eyes looked to where the form of Stacia was, "Could we go soon then?" Pausing for another moment, she added, "Oh, I'm Aileena."
