To the west of the square you take long winding path that leads you almost literally in circles around the rest of the squadron's buildings, leading to the place of retirement. Here squad members find themselves looking up pon a rather odd structure of dorm-like apartments ment to house all within. It is a coed apartment building as Captain Matsushima feels strongly about squad unitity and thinks segragation of the sexes is utter bullshit. The apartment complex is three stories high with unseated members on the top floor, Seated memebers on the second and first floor, and the Vice-captain and Captain also occupying the first floor.
As one steps up the stairs and through a small reception area cordined off by a dividing door you step into a long hallway over looking the path back to the square. The place looks dingy, but that is because no one takes responsibility for cleaning the reception area into the apartments.
Inside is a whole 'nother story. A little on the small side, but richly decorated and lavishly filled to the brimed with all the simple comforts any shinigami could ask for. A bed takes up the majority of free space in the back corner, but there is still enough room at the front of the apartment for a decent one person bathroom and full kitchen combo; as well as, a television for both communication with the other apartments and for simple entertainment, and a nice tall window to each room. The view may be plain in its capture of the forest, but oddles of sunlight is sure to poor into the room and refresh the mind of a weary inidividual.
