We don't have solo and ensemble until January. The last two years I got 1s, so I hope I'll do good this year too.

My director just gave us our solos today. Mine it in Italian and sounds like "Cado Miroven". I don't know if that's the right spelling...hehheh

I got one each year of middle school. (ended up being 5 in all) Each of them were in a different language. (Latin, German, Hebrew, English, Italian) which was kinda strange.

But not that I'm in high school, the solos that they have don't seem to fit my style. (aka classical) and everything's all poppy.

stare It's really evil. Not having solos is one thing but I hate that there are no classical solos at all.

We don't have exactly the same stuff in college.

Instead, we've got "Juries." I take two memorized solo songs up, the judges pick one of them, and I sing it. I get a grade A, B, C, D, or F.

Those happen in March... but I think I've got my songs picked out already, so it shouldn't be a scramble to memorize them this year like it was last year. ^^;

Gahh! I payed my fees and every thing. My district sings by schools and our time was at like 7:30 in the morning on a saterday..... Yea... I kinda slept through it... But that was last year.. First year of chior... (8th grade) and now i'm a freshie and i'm in an A Capella chior.. so yea.... maybe i was ment to miss it or something.. But not this year!!!

i had a solo but then the teacher cut the song because no one else knew the song. I was so mad because I loved that song. I'm going out for another solo later this year for our spring concert. the one i want to do is from "Come In From the Rain". It's really pretty.

I had solo & ensemble today! My solo AND ensemble both got one's! WHEE!.

Oh yea...my song was "Caro Mio Ben". xD I can't spell...

I don't have solo and ensamble until the 25 of Feb (This month) Im singing Quella Fiamma... if any of you know that song. Its purdy... lol.

ours is in april
it's my first year to do a solo 3nodding
i'm starting to get nervous though because it's right between the school musical(in which i have a singing part) and district festival gonk and we have to get all 1's in festival to move on to state so we dont have much time to go over music for the other two. and to top it all off my teacher is pregnant so she's freaking out alot more than usual and freaking us out too.

March 25th is our state contest

My music director hasn't even given me my solo yet.

And my ensemble groups sound really bad. Except for whispering pine.

I don't know when state is all I know is that you have to get there yourself... because for some reason the school doesnt take kids.... n00bs... lol
