Kanami loves to tell me all the time her favorite peeps and 'those lousy who don't know who there talking to'. Don't be surprised if mostly boys with abs and muscles like steroid jacked farmer show up under the love list.

Love and Hate List

Love:

Yamanaka Kane- Scores a 12 on the hotness meter!! Like a human version of Apollo. Plus he's not the run of a mill guy whose overly macho. Kanami will find it fun in the future to dominate him in all meanings of the word.

Uchiha Sukotto- Scores a 8 on the hotness meter. Nice eyes and a silently cool personality. Kanami's played with the silent types a lot in the past and while it is always a nice personality trait it isn't much new to her. At least he isn't a recluse as Shisei.

Tenmoki Aya- The daughter of the famous Tenmoki Yuki, Kanami sees she is very different from the normal shinobi that she is used to seeing. Instead of being reserved Aya's out going and spirited, something that Kanami feels more shinobi should try to be. She can see them becoming good friends in the future.

Orochi Shisei- The snake kid who was around here two years ago. She says she dislikes him, but still watches over him. It's probably one of those love hate things.

Year 100, Autumn- The Most Beautiful Girl Ever

Today I saw the most beautiful girl. Skin pure like milk and hair as pretty as the night stars. Her eyes and lips can grip anyone. Eyes white as snow that don’t seem to miss anything. I hope she is my age. She spoke once today to me and I could not answer back. The girl left quickly after. I think this maybe love at first sight.


Year 100, Autumn- Finding This Girl

A few days later I saw the girl again. I was extremely happy to see her. I managed to speak this time. We played on the swings for a while. I did not learn much about her. I was afraid of asking anything that could spoil our moment together. Eventually she had to go and work somewhere. Today was a good day.


Year 100, Autumn- Taken

Today I and other kids were taken by three men. The girl I really like was there too. It seemed that the men primarily focused on her. One of the men disliked her a lot. I thought we all would die, but a man with a golden sword came to save us. I have seen the man before. He began to give some lessons to other kids. I didn’t decide to join because I’m not as good. The others would have made fun of me. I have seen that beautiful girl hang out with him too. I did not want to look bad in front of her. The man fought hard and saved us all. I never got a chance to thank him or see that girl with white eyes again. They were gone from the village before I could see them. I hope to one day meet her again.

Year 102, Summer- We Meet Again

It’s been a long time since I’ve written and my writing skills have greatly improved. My purpose for even starting this little notepad was over a girl I think I fell for harder than the collapsing era of samurai. Back then I was a shy kid not knowing how to speak. Not that I haven’t broken away from that, but I guess now I’m more knowledgeable and a little embarrassed about how I acted. I mean who starts a little book about how much they like a girl. Only for that purpose. Well I guess that’s me and why I’m starting to write in this again. I know. Pretty corny, but there are times when a person rather not talk with a friend and if you have a good expression of words then you can allow them to emit your feelings, but I’m getting off track. Today I talk about the girl of my dreams… that I have doubts about. Why do I have doubts? Well below that great body, cute face, and mesmerizing eyes lies perhaps the mentality of one who flew over the cuckoo’s nest. Today I talk to you about Hyuuga Kanami.

Kanami is I guess what you’d call special. Well maybe eccentric is the better phrasing. Maybe even flipping off her rocks. She’s a normal person for the most part, but there are some quirks about her that can make a person wonder. The first thing I guess people would notice is that she’s probably a very high narcissist. For everyday of the week she completely changed her hairstyle and the same one would only go back into rotation after a week. If her skin got even a small paper cut the girl would take out a special cream and give it a tiny dab. I’d like to know just how much money her family has to spend on that cream if she’s using it for paper cuts.
Eccentricity number 2: Kanami is touchy and feely. Like to the point that she’s never heard the phrase ‘personal space’. One time a boy extended his hand to greet her. She decided to extend hers at his groin. Not going to lie. I kind of wish I was that guy, but that’s not the point. It’s far from normal behavior. I think she does it on purpose which leads to

Eccentricity 3: Kanami’s mischievous humor. Don’t ever let this girl know that you dislike your personal space or behavior that is not appropriate for the world to see know. She will use that against you for her humor. A fellow clansman of hers, who was pretty cute, used to be slightly afraid of getting undressed anywhere aside from the safety of her room. That created a bit of problems when going to a beach or a swimming pool. When Kanami decided to make her ‘Hyuuga 12 Sexiest Chicks’ calendar and had the girl go through… some things. Well let’s just say she’s one of the few Hyuuga nuns now. Amazingly when the time to be serious is around Kanami can get it all together and act appropriately. Not too sure how many times that happens, but it does occur.

Eccentricity number 4: When Kanami is bored she is usually lazy and asleep. There are times though where she can be spontaneous with these weird plans. I don’t know where some ideas come from, but half of it is probably just to put people in compromising positions. The calendar idea was one of them. Another was to do a world travel. She thought of that one on the spot without even grabbing any equipment. Needless to say the two of us were back by midnight starving. Then there was the bungee jump idea from a cliff. Thank god that never got underway. I don’t think jumping with just a rope tied to your ankles would have worked anyways. One of the only ideas she has thought of that was good was taking over the newspaper on that ninja island. It was that idea in which I got where I am now.

Eccentricity number 5: There are certain things she aggressively collects. Emphasis on aggressive. The girl does it in secret too, which I find amazing considering the amount of time she’ll spend on those items if brought up. I feel honored in a way because I’m one of the few people that know of her obsession for shinobi cards and those pet-pet monsters. My revelation of this hobby was by mistake. It came with me being sent into her room to look for a book on bone structure in which I accidentally found the source obsession and a few pieces of lingerie in her draw. It then went to an angry Hyuuga about to use my face as a mop for the entire mansion. Was this because I saw some of her unmentionables? No not at all. All because I stumbled across her mania and when she surprised me I accidentally bent a 1st edition Ghost Rare Holofoil of Kaguya Tachi. Not only that my foot kind of crushed a keychain of Kingnido or Queennido. I can’t remember nor do I care much about those things. Kanami did make me go and find new ones of both of those things. The keychain was not too hard. It cost about ten ryo. The card…. I had to go across country to some rickety old place where I could have probably gotten murdered. Then when I got there I had to pay 366 ryo as well as do other things I shall not mention. All for one stupid card! I returned home with it, leaving a piece of my dignity in that shop behind, and I barely got a thank you! Is this really the same girl I fell for two years ago?

Kanami has other eccentricities like she’ll basically attack any guy that touches her beauty supplies, her over seriousness with astrology, when she makes a peanut butter and jelly sandwich she’ll only eat the jelly part and discard peanut butter side. Which makes one wonder why the hell didn’t you just make a jelly sandwich, but I digress. This is Hyuuga Kanami, the girl I fell in love with. Well at least I think so. This little book I dedicate to her adventures in life as many times I’m dragged into them for no good reason.

Year 103, Spring- Bored

Haven’t written in this in a while simply because it’s been boring. Because of the death of a war lord in Shimagakure there has been much preparation for an upcoming attack. Kanami’s family back on the mainland felt it better for her to leave and return home where she’d be protected. Because of those facts the rest of us in the newsroom have not had much to do. Not that there hasn’t been any news. Just that we’re less motivated with the energetic nymphet gone. Today I’m just going to do something pointless and list a few things about Kanami. Just to see how much she may or may not change whenever next we meet. One thing Kanami does not like is most studies of sciences. I don’t know for sure if it’s a hatred built from years of getting bad test scores or just not being introduced correctly, but whatever book is about physics, biochemistry or geology, the girl usually puts it down without a second thought. Hence why I wrote on the cover of this little note ‘Hydrostatic Kinesis’. Sounds complicated right? Well it doesn’t have any meaning to it, but the words have been enough to deter Kanami from snooping inside this book. I can only imagine the mayhem that would happen if she found out about my devotion for her.

This is just a few. To list everything would take too much space in this notebook that’s meant for other things. Although I guess me listing those unnoticeable characteristics shows my fervor for her. That or maybe I’m a stalker. Well that won’t matter much. Kanami said she’s found another boyfriend. I’m skeptical since the life span of her relationships is about the same amount of time a housefly lives for. There was once a boy who got dumped within twenty seconds of the two being officially together. I don’t envy that guy at all. Nor the inferiority complex he gained after. This new guy though is a Hyuuga like her. It just maybe the person she’s been looking for. She talked pretty highly of this Mr. Perfect in her last letter. I do hope everything works out well this time although a part of me wishes they break up.


Year 103, Winter- Return

Finally some good news and maybe something to dispel the boredom. Kanami is finally coming back to Shimagakure. Words written here cannot illustrate the happiness bubbling up inside, although I’m sure they’ll probably match the dull expression I have on my face. She should be coming back towards the end of winter and I think with the Orochi boy who used to live on this island. Minus him I guess some new misadventures may begin. Ohh another happy thing was that things didn’t work out well between her and that Hyuuga guy. Mr. Perfect had a little kink in his armor of omnipotence I guess. That or Kanami just had another change of heart… like she usually does. I better get the rest of the crew ready. She’ll probably want to see all of us on her return. Probably with flowers and a red carpet. What a vain girl, yet now I can’t imagine her any other way.

Year 105, Spring- Busy

For the most part many things have come to a halt around the village. Even though Kanami is back she has been dealing with her clan’s business which has not left much time for her to be anywhere else. Whatever time she has is usually spent sleeping off in some place where she cannot be found or spying on guys. Just this week I once found her transformed as a stone statue by the lagoon spying on a group that was there. I almost wished the snake kid stuck around her more. She was more inclined to behave or at least focus her attention on him. The only good thing with her being busy is that she can’t see her Hyuuga boy toy anymore. Well past boyfriend. She told me they’re not together anymore which is a good thing. Although it also means that the girl is on the hunt again. We’ve talked a little about the people she’s met like the Uchiha guy and that Yamanaka fellow. She also told me some guy with rings in his eyes was kind of ‘cute’ albeit ‘shy’. Not sure who she’s talking about, but I guess I can keep a look out. Kanami’s also made friends with the eldest daughter of the Tenmoki clan. I think her name is Aya.

Despite Kanami’s extroverted and outgoing self, she’s never had the time to interact with the Shima shinobi up until now. Guess that means there will be less of her around the news committee, but I guess it’s for the best. Hopefully she won’t forget about us and stop by every now and then.
