Reighn perched herself uptop a dune, one legged pulled up to her chest and the other slipping into the wind sand. The moon was shining bright over the small beach, illuminating everything silver in it's ominous glow. She smiled and pulled her tambourine out of her bag. Her hands started to play out a song the moment verses escaped her lips.
She was a slave. First and foremost she belonged to the nagas she served. Their family crest was carved into the silver cuff circling her bicep. Throughout the great branches of the different traditional families she was known as a keen helper with an always present smile and a happiness that didn't befit someone in her station.
But the fact was that Reighn wasn't born to be sad. Her people were a happy race who poured their troubles out into music and now, on her one night to herself, the anniversary of her imprisonment, she played.

Umakanta glanced up at the moon, his dark purple eyes studying it. After a moment he softly smiled and slid towards the beach. He always did enjoy the beach at night. It held a different air then in the day. In fact he frequented it each night.
Tonight as he neared it though, he paused. The sound of music seemed to drift to him. Intrigued, he followed the sound till he spotted her. A lone satyr on a dune singing.
His first instinct was to move closer to her to better listen. Instead though, he stayed where he was. Rather quite content to not disturb her. Slowly her curled his tail and rested his arms on the end as he turned his eyes back to the moon and listened to her.

Reighn's little tail passed over the dune, tossing up a spray of sand before it perked up into the air. Still, she carried on. Her coffee brown hair swayed behind her like a wind of it's own as she half-danced in her seat, picking up the beat and raising her voice as if to reach the heavens themselves.
When she had finished, she lowered her tambourine and panted slightly, using her free hand to brush her hair away from her neck. It had been so long since she was able to sing like that, so freely and openly without fear of being struck down for the noise level. Turning around, she grasped her bag and had nearly stuffed the musical instrument inside when she saw him. The naga startled her so badly that she immediately ducked in the sands to perform her submissive bow. "I'm so sorry, Mi'lord. If I had realized that you were here then I would have been more respectful."

Umakanta had lost himself listening to her sing. Her voice made the moon glow brighter to him. When she finished ha had to blink out of his stupor. Slowly he lowered his eyes back down to her.
It was at that moment that she'd ducked into the sand. He uncurled and slid a little closer to her. "It is alright, I enjoyed listening to you." A frown marred his brow as he flipped his hair back over his shoulder. He did not like being addressed like he was better then others. His personality was too soft for it. "Please stand back up?" He asked her softly.

Reighn blinked momentarily, but she slowly rose up, pulling her hair over one shoulder in a nervous habit before sitting back on her haunches. She couldn't meet his eyes at first so she settled with toying around with her pack, stealing little glances on the sly. He was pretty. Much prettier than her master and alot kinder too. It had been years since she'd heard the word 'please', much less ever being directed at her.
"Really?" She asked shyly, her little tail perking up. Music was always the gateway to the soul and if he liked it, that meant that he held a far greater standing with her than anyone who didn't. "I could play something else for you, if you'd like. "

He watched her as she moved, glad that he hadn't startled her too badly. Uma relaxed himself before smiling at her. "Of course." He chuckled softly. "I would thoroughly enjoy to listen to you play more, you have beautiful way with music." His tail curled around him as a soft breeze blew by. Internally he was wondering if she was self-conscious about her voice.
