I've been growing peas this year, I think they're snap pea, since they get very round rather quickly.
I've been harvesting them regularly and they have been very good. ^^
My question is when would it be a good time to harvest the seed. I have several pods that have the outside that are brown and papery but the peas inside are a pale green. Is it alright to take these seeds for store?
And how should I store pea seeds? This is the first time I'm storing a fleshy seed rather than hard seeds.
There's been a lot of rain where I live this year and I don't want the seeds to rot.

legumes are usually left to dry out on the vines. You'll eventually want to separate the peas from the pods by hand though. The easiest way to tell if the seeds are dry enough for storage is to smash a couple on a hard surface. If they're dry, they'll shatter.
you'll want to store them in an air-tight moisture resistant container. (glass jars are great for this). keep them in a cool area away from direct light.

Hey thanks! I didn't know that was how you collected seeds from peas!
