...So what now? Are we all out of members that have an opinion opposed to mine?
xd Hmmm ... well, I am not sure, especially after the horse riding part ...
sweatdrop But well, I might as well explain my view of my rather strange mind since I have already started typing ... I believe Martial Arts is more of an art form than just something created for combat ... but well, the tool is created for the need, and if the tool is the art of defending oneself (or killing, if you wish to state that ), the need for it is there ...
and the tool can also be used in any way the user wishes ... like using a hammer to knock a nail or using it to smash a watermelon ... the same for martial arts ... ^ ^"And learning how to use that tool ... is an art, just like:
> preparing food for eating -> the art of cooking
> using speech to communicate/express ideas -> the art of speaking/debating
> using images to communicate/express ideas -> the art of drawing/sketching
But every art form is learnt in a similar path, to progress from a novice to an expert ... the same with religion, philosophy and practically everything in our lives, we still grow from a baby with little knowledge and skill to someone who knows and experienced a lot more ... just like in most religious philosophies ...
mrgreen Ha, I am sure this post should make me a good amount of Gaian cash if I typed a bit more ...
