Why are you not taking vitamins already? Most people don't get all the nutrients the need even when they try or the nutrient content in their food is degraded by too much refrigeration or processing.
Invest in a daily multivitamin and read the label. Look for gelatin and fish oil free.
Are you sure you are eating enough? Vegetables don't keep you full feeling very long so look into high fiber snacks for in between meals.

you might need more protein. im not suggesting you eat meat; as i was a vegetarian for 2 yrs and hope to be one again biggrin , but u can get protein from nuts (peanuts rnt the best for this; try walnuts or almonds or something), tofu, boca burgers (if u dont know already these r burgers made out of veggies), boca bacon, eggs (egg whites r especially good), and anything else tht has a high amount of protein. i hope i helped!

Sweetheart, you will shake if you haven't eaten in a while regardless of your diet. Skipping meals or forgetting them isn't smart. Of course it's unhealthy to miss things like breakfast and lunch, because they give you the energy you need for the rest of your day. Whether or not you're vegetarian/vegan/eat meat, you will experience hunger shakes if you haven't been eating.

If you're not taking a multivitamin, I'd suggest you do so, but I don't think it has anything to do with your situation. You're shaking because you're missing meals and depriving your body of food.

To stay healthy, you need to eat, plain and simple.

This happened to me. It was before I became a vegetarian tho. It's your blood sugar getting too low you should carry hard candies and eat one everytime this happens and to prevent it I ate more protien (cheeses, nuts, soy burgers/soy products) And also you shouldn't skip any meals! I skip breakfast alot because I am nauseated in the mornings, but I learned reacently you get nauseated when your blood sugar is too low. So eat more offten and always make sure you have a sugar source with you.

This is your problem. It's got nothing to do with being a vegetarian, it's got everything to do with you not eating enough calories in a day, plain and simple.

qft. carry around some simple snacks like trail mix or crackers or fruit. something filling that will tide you over for a while.

I personally don't believe in taking vitamins, I don't think they are as useful as they are made out to be. You should really watch your diet more carefully and make sure you eat regularily. As a vegetarian you will need to eat more often simply because vegetarian food is not as filling.

Make sure that you're getting enough calories, protein, iron and carbs for sure. I've found that when I'm low on these I can really feel it. Try carrying around snacks with you like granola bars, tofu or soy milk drinking boxes work well. Getting a good amount of protein isn't hard if you're still consuming dairy products (I'm not sure what kind of vegetarian you are sweatdrop ). I find if my iron is low something like guacamole is really good for getting it back up pretty quickly.

This happens to me too, and my mom, although she is not a vegitarian. I find that when I sleep in or don't have time to eat is when it happens. Try carrying a snack around, or just eat smaller portions more often, because it can cause fainting if it gets to out of hand. Vitamins can't really help with this btw.

Hope it helps(:
