Well, I don't know what you guys are all complaining about. I love the new outfit! It's all nerdy and cute. whee It reminds me of the original "emos". Not the new "goth-lite" version. The ones who used to raid their grandparents' attics for old clothes. Honestly, Matt looks a lot better in this outfit than in the black one he wore for the promo pictures and I actually find myself liking him better in general because of it. He no longer looks like a Twilight vampire wannabe. *phew!*
Also, about the TARDIS, it is apparently supposed to look like the original TARDIS with the white framed windows and the previously mentioned St. John's Ambulance symbol on the door. Obviously, Steven Moffat wants to bring the series back to its roots, and that is a good thing if you ask me. Not that I don't like the new series, I love it! But I also love the old series and I'd be really happy to see the two combine into one big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey awesomeness. biggrin
Not to mention the fact that the TARDIS has changed in appearance both outside and inside many times, so I don't know why you're so shocked by this, heheh. And I'm sure there will be an explanation. If not... well, anyone who is bothered by it will just have to suck it up and deal or stop watching the show. *shrug*

They can cut back on special effects. They could take a plastic dinosaur and have someone rawr as an effect and have like River yell out, "IT'S A DINOSAUR DOCTOR WHAT DO WE DOO!" all girly. And 11 can pull out some string and kettle and save the day XD
No offence to the old series, I loved it really I did...but I was hoping for future stuff...

They could take a plastic dinosaur and have someone rawr as an effect and have like River yell out, "IT'S A DINOSAUR DOCTOR WHAT DO WE DOO!" all girly. And 11 can pull out some string and kettle and save the day XD No offence to the old series, I loved it really I did...but I was hoping for future stuff... I got this image in my head the second I saw the words "plastic dinosaur", "rawr", (and "River", even). Wash's 30 second monologue from Firefly pilot episode heart heart heart On the plus side, I do love it when there's references snuck in about Classic Who that aren't being blatantly pointed at in the episode itself. smile

Anyway, I didn't mean going back to the old series and dumping all the new stuff. That would be incredibly silly. I meant more along the lines of either bringing back some of the things that made the old series great (like the multi-episode stories or something) or even just throwing in a bunch of references that make obsessive fans die of happiness (minus the excessive use of Daleks, I hope...). It would still be new and everything, but it would have more of a classic FEEL to it. I don't know, I'm having trouble explaining what I'm talking about as usual...
Though honestly, I would love to see the Doctor pull out some string and a kettle and save the day... lol...
