Laid on the 18th day in July the orange egg sac of the Aquatilis had burnt brown spots similar to a giraffe and blueberry stained triangles across the brow of the egg sac close to the green leafy end. The sea green leaf has bluer green spots and speckles close to its connection on the egg sac.

It’s pictured here in its element the waters here keeping the soft delicate casing from drying out and helping to protect the young creature inside.

Daily observation shows there to be no change in the size or colors of the egg sac, that said the time for it to hatch into a stage two Aquatilis growing close. A name has already been chosen for this young female, Rune.

This egg, of the Volatilis breed was found perched in the limbs of an older tree surrounding the pool where all these creatures seem to be birthed. Its actuall age is unknown, though beign an unhatched creature it cannot be too old, and signs say its not too far from hatching.

The old tree that this egg resides in seems almsot dead, the bark is greyed and the leaves that hang from its branches look like poor excuses for leaves, this being said however the tree itself is growing quite healty, even past its weathered exterior.

The egg cassing itself is a pulsing purpled color with black lines almost appearing to be veins cris crossing its wing-like form. The creatures that comes from this egg already has a name chosen based on its current characteristics, Asher.

The Aquatilis having hatched finally is almost a replica of its egg casing, the same triangle and freckled pattern covers this young ones body. Eyes of opposite colors orange and green mirror the colors that paint its yellow skin.

At its hatching the creature almost instinctively knowing how to swim fought its way to the surface to take in its first gulp or air. Cool breezes coursing across the top of the lakes waters filled its tiny lungs for the first time.

The creature seems content in its watery habitat sometimes, but rarely advancing onto the soggy ground at the base of the tree. its interactions with other creatures seem limited and it only seems to emit a soft chirping noise. One that doesn't particularly seem to mean anything, only a noise to be noticed or alarmed by.

The majority of the young girls life seems to be spent at this time hiding in the edge of the lakes waters and using the leaf-like appendage atop its head to attract small insects that skate across the top of these waters and devour them whole. Its almost as if she is stocking up or saving up for a sort of hibernation.
