Well, there's the Big One, Vesak, that usually takes place in early March (It's set for the first full moon). Commonly known as Buddha Day, it's a day that celebrates the life and enlightenment of Siddhartha Gautama. Everyone takes part in dharma discussions, meditates, and passes on stories of the Buddha's life. Kids commonly get colouring books that focus on a simplified version of the story, and sometimes gifts are exchanged.
Buddhist Holidays is a small bit of another webpage that has a listing of some of the more common festivals, but keep in mind some are sect specific and the list does not apply to all Buddhist followers.
