Ahh, saw it at midnight as well, I really liked it, though, I think I would think differently of it had I reread the book. xD

My curse is that after my first read through of a book, I can never seem to find the drive/energy to read it again. xP

so.. i basically loved this movie. i haven't read the book since it came out so none of the plot things bothered me (the only part that made me go wtf was the lack of funeral). but the sexual tension/awkward teen love was hilarious. i laughed so much. there were so many subtleties that often i was one of the few laughing in the entire theater. XD

I'm reading HBP and I got to the part where they start taking apparation classes and Wilkie Twycross is all "Dumbledore took off the enchantements that make it so you cant apparate in hogwarts for these lessons" so therefore Dumbledore DOES have the power to do that smile

well yeah, but that's different than what dumbledore did in the movie fore a lot of reasons

1. in the book they were only apparating INSIDE THE HALL. not outside of hogwarts.
2. I think turning it on or off is an active thing you have to be there to do. dumbledore had no idea when he was getting back to hogwarts and certainly didnt have the ability to do complex magic from far away.
3. he took off the enchantments for that area...not the whole school. big difference.
