So, I feel a bit late to the ordeal, but what is this news about Flames of Eternity?
I did a little digging around and figured out it was Crimson Echoes under a different group of people, but renamed and polished up under the name of "the Metronome Project". I actually got that game tonight and played it. It's not bad, it has that CT feel to it, but I haven't ever played the original Crimson Echoes.
I also keep reading that the original team was bitter about their original coding being taken by another team and reworked. I haven't played both, but I'm also reading that there are notable differences.

I should still have my CE and FoE roms somewhere... didn't get to check the truth about it but my CE claims to be the near finished copy don't quote me on it. also got alot of wierd spoof versions of the game like one where crono's mom's sprite is replaced by terra from ff6. also a stupid dialog change that makes everyone cuss for no reason. i think my fave one is the one that changes jhonny(the man!)'s theme music to a rick rolled midi...by the way anyone else think the rick rolled song sounds a lot like robo's theme?
