Somebody Melt The Ice That Encases My Heart... Faye scoffed and glared at the Prince. "Yes, yes, Hell Fire is happy but I am sure he runs like this all the time! Can he not spare a few moments of galloping and perhaps walk?" she ask, her tone a tad sarcastic. It was all playful banter between the elementals and she enjoyed it, despite the playful acerbic tones she used.
She smiled as they came apon a hill, knowing they would be at her home in only a few moments. She had seen the villagers faces, lighting up at the Princes' approach, only to be stunned by the sight of the ice elemental. A commoner, to be specific. It wasn't a way for her to degrade herself; it was simply the way of the world and life. Faye didn't mind, but it must have looked awful shocking in the eyes of the townspeople.
Faye saw the small snow white rabbit and smiled at it, only to be shocked the approach of a hawk. She cried out uncharacteristically when Hell Fire let out a fierce cry and began to dart about. She flailed about, desperate to cling ot something. She heard the commanding voice of Prince Sabian, but panic caused her to become confused and befuddled. She turned and held onto the prince tightly, grabbing his tunic and burrying her face in it.
When everything stilled, she still refused to look up. Her small body was shaking something fierce. After he asked her if she was alright, she looked up at him. Her eyes were wide, molten fire swimming with unshed tears. She was truly afraid, she could say. She sniffed slightly and stared back down. "Y-Yes. I am fine." she said lamely, trying to hide the tears of fright. ...And Make It Burn Like The Fire In My Eyes.

With a fire in his eyes... Sabian smiled softly at the girl clinging tightly to his tunic. He let the reins fall loosely to his horses saddle and led the big animal with his knees. He wrapped his arms loosely around her in comfort and nodded. " There's a brave one. You're safe now though I promise on my crown." His eyes were a smoldering pool of dancing flames as he held her against him.
With a soft chuckle he grinned " I thought I told you to hold to his mane? What if I were to have been thrown? You would have come with me holding on like that." he looked into her eyes as she looked up and noticed the unshed tears. The sight of such a thing broke his heart and sent his eyes flaring into protective brightness.
" Faye..." His voice was soft and warm and he held her to him safely. " Forgive me for you tears, I should have reined him in sooner. Come we'll make our way slowly from now on. HellFire can gallop on the way back, he'll settle for a gentle walk. " With a click of his tongue the big horse slowed his pace more into a calm gentle rolling walk.
The prince scanned the horizon for any sign of her house and smiled softly as it came into view. " Here we are now Faye, look, safely home, just as I said right?" And a flame in his soul...

Somebody Melt The Ice That Encases My Heart... Faye felt arms wrap around her loosely and blushed brightly. She reacted hastily, jsut grabbing him for protection. "U-umm...I don't know. I suppose I would have just been thrown off with you, then." she stammered as she spoke.
She looked back down and shook her head. "There is no need to apologize...honest. I was jsut surprised. It threw me off and I panicked." she explained, feeling ashamed of herself for being so...feminine. She grimaced and wiped at her eyes roughly, sniffling once before giving him a genuine smile. "You see? I am all better, sir. Nothing but a slight scare."
She turned back around, blushing brightly as her mind continued to feel the warmth of his body so close to hers. The smell of burnt wood and smoke had filled her mind, as well as the warm feel of his arms closed around her. She shook her head slightly and stared straight ahead, looking out ot see her house.
Faye Clemence's house was small, just enough for her family. There was a large flower garden on one side and a vegtable garden on the other side. Her father, large and brute, was outside tending to the vegtable garden, plowing and moving the earth about with his elemental ability. Her mother was sitting on a wooden stool, taking a small amount of water from a jug and washing vegtables, smiling at her husband and chatting up a storm. She glanced over, seeing the horse and standing up gracefully. She spoke to her husband, then walked inside the house excitedly. Her father looked up, then also ran into the cottage. They had seen the horse and ran inside to get cleaned up. ...And Make It Burn Like The Fire In My Eyes.

With a fire in his eyes... Sabian smiled " Good to see no more tears. Tears make me nervous to tell the truth. But it seems we've arrived, I take it those are your parents? Let's hope they aren't to cross with me for bringing you home so late." He commented warmly as the sun began to set. He guided the big horse up to the cottage and with a soft squeeze of his knees the horse stopped.
" I'll help you down." he stated calmly as he let his arms slide from around her. Already he missed the feel of her against him. With a lithe move he slid down from the large charger and patted his neck. " Good boy, steady." He mumbled as the horse stood still. The prince quickly covered the butterflies in his stomach with royal charm.
Truth be told the famous crowned prince was nervous to meet Faye's parents. But that didn't stop him from doing his duty and his pleasure. he held his hands up and smiled to his passenger " Now swing your legs to this side and slide down. I'll catch you." His eyes shone warmly and his smile was radiant.
The prince had truly enjoyed meeting the ice elemental and was sad that their time together had to end. It was something he regretted deeply. As if his horse knew what he was thinking HellFire nickered softly and twitched slightly. The fire elemental smiled at his mount before returning his attention on catching his passenger as he had promised. And a flame in his soul...

Somebody Melt The Ice That Encases My Heart... Faye smiled slightly. "The mighty Prince Sabian, shaken to the core by mere tears." she teased with a laugh. She looked back out and smiled, nodding. "Yes, those are my parents. They won't be cross. In fact, they will be more surprised that I bring home a boy." she said, rolling her eyes.
She felt the absence of his arms and blushed. She sighed mentally, feeling utterly ridiculous over such emotions. You are acting like a young schoolgirl, Faye. Step up. He's the prince, and even so...you two are very different. she thought stubbornly. She looked back down at him and saw the nervousness in his eyes. She felt silly when she realized she was grinning because of it.
Faye swung her legs over, her white skirt falling around her knee caps. But before she jumped, she leaned over and took his crown. She placed the crown in her small bag that held her jug of water and smiled. "First...we are to get rid of your title. I want my parents to see you as a person, not as a royal title." she explained with a smile.
She patted Hell Fire and smiled. "It's been quite the adventure, Hell Fire. I do so hope I will see you again very soon." She jumped off the horse, preparing to be in his arms again. The thought made her giddy and smiling. ...And Make It Burn Like The Fire In My Eyes.

With a fire in his eyes... Sabian grinned and his eyes danced in the light " Most men of all ages are scared of a woman's tears. Don't tell anyone but Father goes into hysterics when Mother so much as tears up. I guess I get it from him." He laughs and nods " Then lets go let them meet said boy you brought home."
Sabian watched her as she swung her legs over and smiled charmingly up to his charge. She was like fuel to his fire, she made him spark in ways he hadn't in years. He blinked as she took his crown his mouth hanging open slightly. " Bu..Faye...I...well that's a first..." He stood flabbergasted that she had actually taken his crown from him. No one had ever dared to try something so risky...and yet Faye had no fear.
He smiled widely and nodded " Then I'll be titleless for a while. But I'll need that back when I leave. Can't have a crowned prince with no crown now can we? " he joked his arms still outstretched for her. HellFire neighed softly turning his head to look at her. Sabian watched as she almost literally jumped from the big war horse and caught her easily. He Held her to his chest as he stepped back from the horse.
"HellFire you stay here boy and I'll be back in a bit." He told the horse with a smile. His smile turned into a grin as he looked down to the girl in his arms. "Do you think we'd make an impression if I walked in with you in my arms? Or would you rather walk on your own. I'm quite comfortable holding you though so it'll be a difficult thing for me to let you down." And a flame in his soul...

Somebody Melt The Ice That Encases My Heart... Faye laughed at him. "Most sons are spitting images of their father, so I suppose that does not surprise me. He sounds kind, the King." she commented.
She smiled more as his jaw dropped down in shock. She bit her bottom lip, realizing that she was absurdly brave in the things she did with or to the prince, such as taking his crown. But she knew her parents, and she knew how they would act. She wanted her parents to see the prince as who he is...simply Sabian.
"Of course you can have it back. I'm not going to keep it. What use would I make of it?" she scoffed, rolling her eyes. But then her persona changed to a more somber mood. "A crown does not make a prince. His responsibilities to his kingdom and his passion for ruling makes him such." she explained to him, staring out at the sunset.
Faye felt the warm embrace of the prince again and smiled to herself. She rested her hands on his shoulders, though her body was pressed to hers. It was odd, how much she detested fire...but with him...she longed for his warmth. Longed to see the fire in his eyes. He melted the ice in her heart, the ice in her very being. It was scary, to be honest.
She blinked up at him, now her turn to stare at him with her jaw dropped. "It would certainly make an impression! Now let go of me, you silly-" she stopped when she heard the last part of the sentence, blushing brightly. Shaking her head, she stepped out of his arms, though her heart protested, screaming out. "You are quite the character, Sabian." she said, smiling as she headed to her home. ...And Make It Burn Like The Fire In My Eyes.

With a fire in his eyes... The prince grinned and shook his head with a laugh " I do look like my father, but that's of no importance. But you're rigth he is kind, or he can be like any father really." He smiled fondly at the image of his fathers stern face as it melted into a warm smile.
He grinned and nodded " I better get that back Missy, otherwise my Mother will throw a royal fit. She's quite a stickler for the royal rules." he smiled softly and nodded " How too well I know this fact Faye, I try my best to rule without my crown and with my heart instead. I find it the best way to rule though my father has other ideas. "
Sabian grinned as she stepped from his arms. " A character yes I've been told that before. But I speak only the truth Faye." He laughed and followed her as she made her way before him to the house. " Anything i need to know about your parents before I meet them? Any pet peeves I should watch out for? Help a prince out?" He questioned with laughing air. And a flame in his soul...

Somebody Melt The Ice That Encases My Heart... Faye smiled but shook her head. "No sir. No warnings or hints. You have to meet them in their own element. No pun intended." she laughed. "Hmm...I suppose I can say a few things. Father will act tough and burly, and his size is intimidating, but he's harmless. Mother is sweet and kind, but is very observant." she said, smiling. "She'll probably see right through you." she added, smiling.
Faye took his hand and led him up to her house, smiling slightly as she opened the door and announced her arrival. "Mother! Father! I'm home!" she called out. She closed the door behind Sabian and showed him around. She explained the different rooms, deliberately not showing him the hallway that led to her parents room and her room.
"Faye, dear, is that you?" a high pitched, feminine voice called out. The woman ran into the room, smiling brightly. She looked like Faye, with icy colored hair and a petite body. Only her eyes were the color of the deep ocean blue and she was tall, with graceful legs. She moved fluidly, dancing more than walking, like the water itself. "Oh, hello. Faye, you didn't tell me you were having a guest. I am Mrs.Clemence. What is your name?" she asked, her smile polite. "Aright, love, the vegtables are all cleaned off and ready to be chopped u-Hello." a man said as he walked into the room. He was tall, and largely built, covered in muscles. He kissed his wife's cheek, then stood next to her. He folded his tanned arms across his chest, looking down at Sabian. His eyes were the same color as Faye's, a lava color. His hair was a shining bronze, rustled from doing hours of garden work. He would have looked terrifying, if not for the crows feet near his eyes and laughing wrinkles near his lips. "I was not informed we were going to have guests." he said.
Faye smiled and scooted Sabian to them slgihtly. "Mother. Father. This is Sabian. He is a fire elemental. Sabian, these are my parents." she smiled. ...And Make It Burn Like The Fire In My Eyes.

With a fire in his eyes... Sabain braced himself the only way he knew how. He threw his shoulders back and stood tall the picture of perfect posture as he followed her. He smiled at the house happy to be somewhere normal for a change. As a sweet feminine voice spoke his eyes zeroed in on the source and he blinked a few times. Well he knew where Faye got her looks from. her mother was a gorgeous woman and seemed to dance into the room.
As her father stepped into the room Sabian sized him up like any boy his age would. her father was a mountain of a man but Sabian was used to men like this. He had lead many of his stature and bigger into battle under the same banner and carried them home when they couldn't make the journey themselves.
Sabian smiled and stepped forward with a formal bow. His eyes flashed with barely controlled fire as he grinned. " It's the utmost pleasure to make your acquaintances. I apologize for detaining your daughter so late. I ran into her at the lake and we had a minor accident to which I was responsible for. It took a bit longer than I thought to take care of her and I only just had the chance to return her to you."
He stood back his full height and held his hand out to her father " Sir, it's a pleasure. " He smiled sweetly to her mother and with a gallant nod of his head he stated " Ma'am it's more than a pleasure to be introduced to you. I can see were Faye get's her looks from. She's very lucky." And a flame in his soul...
