What are your views on them?
IMO they are fake. Mainly because the PS3 logo on them are wrong. The logo is the fan made using PS2/PSP font.

I think its fake as well, it was started leading into E3, when I heard of them, and this strange complaint that the PS3 is too big. Id rather a larger peice of hardware that does not melt then a small melting one.
There is no reason or way they can shrink it down right now, cooling tech just isnt there yet, unless you fork out more $ and go liquid.

On one hand, I think it's fake simply because it's been "leaked" for such a long time with no form of response from Sony.
On the other hand though, the PSone hit the market rather unexpectedly, as did the PS2 Slim... So I couldn't necessarily say I'd be surprised.
On the randomly grown third hand, Sony really does seem to be going in a new marketing direction, using the soundbytes from the PSX's generation in promoting new PS3 and PSP games, also declaring exclusives as "Only on Playstation" rather than "Only on PS3" and so fourth. With the re-imagining of the PSP, I feel that a re-imagining of the PS3 could also be on the horizon.
I think a PS3 Slim is plausible, but not necessarily likely.

There is no doubt in my mind a PS3 silm will come out in the future. Silm line consoles have always come out for the PS systems so I don't see why this one would be any different.
I just don't believe that now would be the time. I think they would launch it closer or a year from PS4. As that seems to be the norm with Sony.
I can get the "Only on PlayStation" thing. (even though I am not a huge fan of the Only on lables on boxes) If you look at it the PSP and PS3 are pretty close to each other and the PSP is also close to the PS2. The PSP can interact with the PS3 play some PS3 games, they share a store, they share the same OS. The PSP is also for the most part a portable PS2 and it has been shown that it can play PS2 level games. I think Sony is trying to show that the PlayStation line is like one big happy family.
