Welcome to July's Contest. I decided it wasn't fair for the members to patiently wait for Hane and I to putter around the guild, and I did promise more Summer guild events, so HERE'S JULY'S!!!
This Contest is going to be a little different. It's not going to be a crossword or a tektek or a story contest. This month's contest is simple: give me a paragraph explaining why you should win 5,000 gold.
There are going to be 2 winners:
1st wins 5,000 gold
2nd win 2,500 gold
I don't care if you make up a story, give a fib, beg, or whatever.
Rules:
1. Make it interesting.
2. Make it 5 to 8 sentences long (a paragraph!)
3. No flaming Minandreas on how he used his bard's ninja skills and stole all your gold.
4. Be creative! The more outlandish and entertaining, the better your chances of winning.

Well I suppose I will start with the more unimportant reasons and work my way up to the primary points. For one thing I've read all of Salvatore's Forgotten Realms books. Everything Drizzt, The Sellswords, Cleric Quintet, and War of the Spider Queen. The second reason I should win this contest is because I am an active guildy. I usually check this forum multiple times a day and never less than once. I also participate in the contests, which most people sadly don't. My scientific speculation in to the matter is that they are all failures and really need to crawl under a rock somewhere like Wulfgar. But I'm not actually a scientist so take it with a grain of salt. Another reason I should be given this gold is because I have 3 awesome D&D themed Avi's. A druid, a bard, and Jarlaxle Baenre himself. Now I will quickly move in to the more important reasons I should win. Lets not mince words and just admit that I'm awesome. How could such a stellar example of human perfection not win this contest? I don't think it is even imaginable. Another good reason would be that I am humble enough to admit that Yuki is probably the second most awesome human being in the world. Not sucking up. At all. Just laying out the facts. Sorry everyone else. Your just second rate in comparison. I could go on about why I should win this contest but I think I'm already dragging this out a bit, so I will wrap it up with one last unbeatable point. I can make Ramen. Home made. From scratch.

Reasons I Deserve to Win:
I single handidly kept the dice contest going, alone, for months. I have been a Drizzt fan since 1995. I played the extra levels in Baulder's Gate in order to get the Drizzt character (which I was then banned from using because he, of course, rocked). I still have the drow body type from the Halloween event and did not play any other races because they were inferior. I once looked up all of the drow words to use in my regular vocabulary (although the drow word for fool, wael, can be misconstrued when speaking to an overweight person). I elevated Yagi to Matron by destroying all that opposed her. It is known.

Well.... I cant really compete with everyone who currently posted. Im not going to brag, what is there to really brag about? Im ok at making story, I am able at making SOME tektek. I dont have any outstanding feats really.
BUT, I do suppose that there can be some reasons for me winning... I have an extreme love for all things dragons, demons, and even drow. I can tell you all about the Mind Flayers, while I have not read all of R.A. Salvatores books, I have read a good amont... more than once. I have even read Ed Greenwoods books concenring Elminster...
I have kinda draged this out, and for that I am sorry....
Oh... becuse this looks like fun....

I deserve to win because unlike the others who just want the money to brag and hold it over the rest of our heads, I want to fund 2 very important charities. The first charity is of course my on going cosplay of Cadderly which you know first hand is not going so well, and the money could give the cosplay an important step ahead which would be awesome having Zaknafein, Cadderly, Drizzt, a druid, Jarlaxle, and so many other cosplays in this guild all dedicated to the lovers of the fantastic books. The other charity is the charity to take down Matron Yuki by means of a powerful spell that Vhaerun (praise him) might bestow upon me but also cost a 2500 gold sacrifice to Vhaerun. More reasons why I should get the money is because I am active in this guild and when I have suggestions I send a pm to you with the idea and I do not demand that you put it in the guild but that you just consider it. My final reason is because like my hero Zaknafein I must become number 1 in multiple skills, yet I have not gotten first prize in any guild contest. These are the reasons I can think of and just remember I have only been 3 races, vampire, drow and human (God I hate zombies) and those some of the most important races in the books. Drow is obvious, human is the main race on the surface world obvious, and vampires came to be the real climax in the Cleric Quintet series.
I am not going to conform to the giant letters of the others so instead I will leave you with this I win!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i should win because since i join the guild i have finished read the legend of Drizzt. i have a very nice drizzt cosplay. i also beat buoders gate(i suck at spelling when excited) WITHOUT THE CHEATS!!! lets not forget because im a mad hatter pimp!!! i also read Most of the other salvator books and i have a LV:15drow rogue And a LV:20 drow ranger with a statuette of a PANTHER!!! yes my dm made it especially for me!!!

I've fought long and hard on deciding who will be the two winners. I have to say, however, that I tremendously enjoyed ready all of the entries. Each made me chortle and smile.
