Feign sat at the head of the table in a slightly larger chair than the other nine. Starting from his immediate right heading down would go as follows: Angel, Grave, Shrine, Pi Dee. To his left starting from the immediate going down would go as follow: Makai, Dread, Force and finally Faust. Across from Feign sat his accuser, Incognito. Makai and Angel seemed more uptight than usual, though they were essentially babysitting a cranky Feign. Feign would sigh and shake his head, ready to start it off. "Man this is stupid; third seat oughta know its damn place. Regardless all of you have the right to call council n' question me, no matter how much time n' energy it may waste. Goes to me, as the head, to recite the obvious: My orders have been questioned and thus council has been called. We, as the ten Terrans are to come to an agreement through either unanimous decision or vote. Should the vote come to be a draw, an outside force will be brought in to hear the plea of the accuser and the accused. Now then..." He'd rest his elbows on his arm rests and lean back in the chair with a crude smirk on his face. "Hell's the problem, girly?"
Faust, his cloaked form shifting up to stand would look to Feign through his black and white mask, eye color opposite the shade of the mask to create a sort of ying-yang appearance. "I will point out that you, Feign, are the Second in Command and are forced to answer only to Kain himself...but should you abuse your power then you ought to expect harm to come to you. That simple." His face would seem to shift through the robe to face Incognito. "Make your plea, 3rd."
He'd always creeped her out. He was nice enough and went by the book as he ought to, but something about the second seat didn't seem right to her. Once she'd stop shaking she'd nod her head and stand. "I do not agree with Feign's decision to cast out the outsiders when Kain himself welcomed them into this castle before he fell. He offered them unlimited retreat within his borders; to forcefully remove and banish them would be to go against Kain himself! I especially wish to express my concern of banishing Kain's sister Annette; we all know the close bond Kain shares with his siblings, especially his sisters. Since he was forced to kill Kiera he's been without a single sibling that hasn't tried to kill him repeatedly or has been long since buried. Like Kiera, I believe Annette would come to act as Kain's go-to gal; his strategist of sorts...and therapist in his case. AT LEAST she should be allowed to do as she pleases, whether that be to leave or to stay, or to come and go. But she should be given the CHOICE! Finally...Feign, you have no right to wield that blade." At that point the entire table would look to Feign.
He'd clap his hands slowly, loudly...dramatically and sarcastically. "Well haven't you developed a bit of nobility in that form? Well worded, I'll give you that much. But crap nonetheless. Think for a moment: What happens when Kain allows people near him, hm? What happens to his friends; to those he gets to know? They either piss him off or betray him, Mictian being a great example and Black Rose COMBINED with the Silver Dragon Syndicate being point and case. I can see where you're coming from with the french wench, though...but that's why we have the others here! To vote and make sure all's well and fair. As for Masamune...piss off, brat. While I remain in command I will bare a sword that demands obedience, one of the three katanas!"
"And of the three it's hardly a shock you would select Masamune, the blade of Darkness. Are you trying to tell us something, Feign?" Pi Dee wouldn't even look at Feign, at least not after the initial glance along with everyone else. Instead his eyes would shift between the table and the impatient and obviously bored Shrine.
"To open that vault is to go against his orders. That should be all there is to it. The actually remove and wield one of the blades is thievery and disgrace; disgrace in the manner of respect for Kain." Force's eyes came to glare at Feign, obviously a little pissed with the situation.
"I agree. We have no room in this castle for thieves and commanders without form." Angel would quickly speak up.
"And what about the girl, eh? This Annette? I mean, Captain Egomania has a point with the rest of em' but yeah, I can see why the sister ought'a be allowed freedom." Makai would speak after his brother, using his feet to rock back and forth by pushing off the table.
"She did fight side by side with Kain against the Little Demon and the Psychic. I believe if not for her our Lord, and thus us, would be long gone. When I arrived on the scene she was already in family mode; insisting on tending to her brother's wounds." Pi Dee would again speak.
"When she entered the room tonight I could feel a strong sense of compassion wash over into the room, and a gripping sensation of worry overcome by a sort of unknown knowledge that he'd recover. She is one I feel we can easily trust." Dread would speak out.
"The girl's got his power; she's like a female him down to the neutrality n' the fact she's shunned no matter what the hell she does. You'd think this is couple material, but it's not...it's weird. He's shown her all of his life; more of it then we know. He's shown her his ultimate power and imbued her with a fragment, and used all his power to make sure she'd live. Since when the hell's he go n' possibly give his life for people!? Lovers come n' go, he knows that. But bonds...those are way different. If they got a bond, who the hell are we to get in the way?" Probably the wisest thing Grave had ever said.
"I don't think you should be stealing Lord Kain's things 'cause stealing's just wrong period and we were brought up to know to at least never steal from each other. I'd never steal from Kain, or you or anyone else. I think you just want to feel bigger then you are and I think that it's OK to want to be bigger, but stealing another person's power isn't the way to do that. And I think that Miss Annette should be allowed to choose 'cause she has the same blood we do and Kain says she's his sister, so she's our sister to and we shouldn't turn our back on our family." Shrine spoke...semi-maturely. She voiced her opinion and that's what mattered.
"...So you all love the Dark Goddess come to the rescue, eh? Well, she's not a worthless fighter, that's for sure...n' she's got that bond thing going, plus medical knowledge. Yeah...alright, that's nine outt'a ten, me included. As always, we go to our living ballot box: Faust! So, is it unanimous?" Feign was growing bored. Quickly.
"It is unanimous. The woman has her freedom." Faust would nod.
"Yeah go figure...alright, and it seems unanimous we want the others out of here. Trust me, they're just gonna hurt Kain." He'd sit back up on the chair, feeling this bullshit coming to an end.
"Unanimous...but they are leaving of their own accord. I believe our decision does not matter." Faust knew of the planned departures.
"Well that sucks; I kinda wanted to go full-out with that cowboy mother ********. No ones stabs me with a sheath and passes out freely...lazy punk. So then the final matter's the sword n' it's nine against one...right?" Nine heads would nod. "Well that's too damn bad. If you wanna rest the blade from my hand feel free to try...but I'm first seat for a reason: I'm able to beat each of you n' don't think the odds are any different as your numbers go up. But hey, don't worry your little heads! If Kain doesn't want me to have it I'm sure he'll take it. 'Till then: DEAL! We done?"
"You give us little choice. We cannot beat you...but you may not have that sword. Yes, we are adjourned, but you will have that sword rested from you. All of you, back to your posts." Faust would stand as he spoke and wave his arm out, dismissing them. Each of them would disappear, back to their locations...except Feign who sat and watched Incognito and Faust speak. It was over quickly and Faust would disappear while Incognito moved to walk upstairs.
"You're a whiny little b***h, aren't you? What's a matter, jealous of what I have? Tell you what, why don't you morph into someone important and make yourself feel better?" Feign would snicker to himself.
Incognito would stop at the door at laugh. "First off shrimp-d**k, I have nothing to be jealous OF. Even as a female I'm hung better than you, which is why I believe you need that sword. Someone's coming up a wee bit short...brains n' balls aside, I dare you to tell Kain that Annebeth is unimportant. Watching you get spanked would be most amusing..." Before Feign could do anything Incognito was gone. Feign would leave soon after.
