A long yawn escaped the brown toned kyunru as he eyed the pale sky above. Early morning and probably something of an ungodly hour to be up if his estimate was right. He flicked his tail to one side before wandering along down the path, planning to escape the noise of the morning for once. HE did need a break from it all on occasion. Between the tiny spirits that followed Lafe around teasing Nairou, her scolding the two fawns, or perhaps lecturing them, and the nonsense of Mize attempting to hold onto that strand of sanity she had left... it was rather tiring.
Or at least moreso than waking up so early to escape it.
A content smile slid across his face as he slunk along, watching the clear sky gain a few rosey hues to it with time as the golden globe rose to the west, peaking above the hills after time had passed. Though it was somewhat muted with the trees blocking it out, he was more than aware of it's presence. And he was moving to an area where it was more visible. His favorite clearing with the creek.
Ah yes, who could turn down the soft background trickle, combined with the songs of the birds? Certainly summer brought the creatures out of hiding and they did seem to enjoy the place as much as he. Oiseau gave a low chuckle at the thought, taking a longer step in the process which slipped down into a morning stretch. His wings followed suite, one shifting down with the first dip, the other taking it's turn when he mimicked the actions on his followup step. Then it was back to normal after the initial stretch as he spotted the clearing before him.
Ah serenity, such a simply pleasure.
He padded over to the creek silently, dipping his head near the edge to catch a drink of the cool liquid, obviously quite content with his morning stroll so far.

A soft splashing became audible. Nayru picked her way up the stream, holding her head and tail high, her little sandy wings lifted, watching her steps carefully. The water was cool on her ankles, a refreshing contrast to the promise of heavy heat in the air. The stream was shallow enough here to make it an easy walk. Truthfully, she'd mostly wanted to get away from her siblings this morning; she was in no mood to tolerate her brothers. Once she'd gotten out into the forest, though, her mood had quieted. Now she was simply enjoying the day as it warmed into morning, listening to the birds and insects and the steady chuckle of the stream. Simple pleasures.

Simple pleasures indeed, little could beat the pleasant feel of cool water. Be it on feet, or a drink as was his case. He'd only finished the act as he caught movement out of the corner of his eye. Assuming it just a bird catching a sip of water as he had at first he casually glanced over, only cocking his head at the sight of the slightly smaller kyunru moments later.
Curious, he hadn't realized others came here as well. Rather, he'd always had the place to himself. Not that it was a bother, just a pleasant surprise perhaps?
That seemed well enough as a description as he began to take in the situation further. Interesting enough, she was walking through the water rather than beside it, holding herself high enough to merely soak her paws though. At least she had a sense of the trouble involved in getting too wet, all the work to get in order again. Some sense was used after all.
Still, what to say to one who'd interrupted one's alone time. Well, probably the most obvious thing was best. "A good morning to you."

Nayru paused, one forepaw held daintily out of the water, when she saw the larger kyunryu bending to drink from the stream. Had she intruded on another's territory, all unknowing? The mottled male seemed to fit here, his soft, natural colors right at home among the trees. She took a little breath as she realized that he had true wings, sleek elegant pinions that lay folded along his flanks. Perhaps he could even fly. She was unashamed of her own small wings, but they could not carry her. Ah, he had seen her now. "And to you," she answered politely. "I hope I haven't intruded. I was only taking a walk." She realized suddenly that she must look rather silly, standing here with one paw dangling. She hastily put it down.
