Just an idea if anyone wants ^^
I have a huge stack of plastic bags stashed in a cupboard somewhere, and in an effort not to add to it, I started making newspaper bags.
All I do is get a newspaper and a shoebox, wrap up all but one side as if I were wrapping a present using a double sheet of paper, and fold the last edges over. I cut 4 holes in the top folded layer, and thread 2 pieces of ribbon through to be handles. They're not particularly strong, but the beauty is the versatility - add more layers for strength, use the housing pages for a fun design.
Once I'm done with them, I recycle the newpaper as I would have.
Anyone else do something similar?

wow cool, good for the environment and look great. My family just uses (and re-uses) those cotton bags.

Really cool biggrin
Also, perhaps you could do a weave style with several layers of newspaper to reinforce it and make it stronger? Like a woven basket?
And Siozai, that's really cool! My cousin and I made wallets like that last summer! biggrin
