Might as well recommend something else.
John C. Wright's trilogy The Chronicles of Chaos.

Here's the dealio: 5 kids have special powers. Each of their powers work under a different paradigm. One guy uses magic, one guy uses telekinesis, one guy uses matter manipulation, one chick finds secret passages anywhere she wants and one chick can see into the fourth dimension. Each of their paradigms cancel another one out, and it's really cool to see the way they work out. They're always discussing the way they see the world and trying to explain what they do to someone who interprets things in a completely different way and it's just a lot of fun.

There's also a lot of Greek mythology and stuff.

The first book is called Orphans of Chaos and I'd recommend it strongly. Not as strongly as the third book, but everyone knows the third book is the best in any series.
