You can still customise the add friend banner thing, they just changed the code for it to allow you to have different online/offline images instead of the static one 3nodding I haven't tried it out yet, but I'd imagine it wouldn't be much to change.

I calmed down and now I think it's somewhat okay. Even if the blue is repulsive and I wish they'd atleast give us a choice of what colour banner we'd like. xD
