Tell me, are you who you say you are? Or are you just an empty shell hiding your true soul?

Within paradise, a blooming sun,
Life reaching to the sky,
Just the ropes of friendship holding me down.

Exploding fire, creeping darkness,
Dust rushing in a newborn wind,
Snaps are heard,
The black wind taking them away.

Floating through nothingness,
I have two options.
Do I share the pain?
Or do I shut myself away,
Crawling in a shell,
Shedding tears and blood in a sea of void?

Sometimes I gaze at their pictures,
Aching to see them,
Brimming with longing.
I shut myself away.

Now tell me, did you?
