Riley wiped her eyes and tried to erase the words in the dirt with the toe of her worn black converse. She looked questioningly at Addi when she spoke out loud. It startled Riley but she didn't show it. She wrapped her arms around herself and rocked slowly back and forth. Did I just tell someone about my past?

Addi nodded. "It's fine. I asked about it." she said looking at her thoughtfully. "are you going to be okay?"

Riley nodded but even as she said she was okay she could feel the lump in her chest begin to spread outward. And yet, the pain didn't ease. It spread through her freezing cold water. She shivered and leaned against one of her floating rocks to steady herself. Riley took a deep breath. Don't be an idiot she said to herself Get up now She straightened herself off the rock and turned her back to Addisyn. The raised her hands slowly and with a twitch of her wrists, all of the trees in front of her crashed to the forest floor.

Vic and Demetry looked at each other.
"Why is it so quiet?" Vic asked. Kieda-Mae and Demetry shrugged.
"How are we supposed to know?" Demetry answered.
(Sorry for not saying anything in a while. I've been busy. With school and stuff. ><)

Riley turned quickly as Vic spoke. She glared at Demetry as anger welled up inside her. What a jerk. she said to herself. Then she realized it was very quiet. She turned to look at Addi, as if she had the answer.

"Why don't you speak to us?" Demetry asked. He moved closer to Riley. "I'd love to hear your voice." he added with a smile.

Riley glared at Demetry and took a careful step back. He's taunting me! She thought and anger flashed into her gray eyes. Riley looked at the other girls to see if they had made the same assumption that she had.

Kieda-Mae looked over at the two of them.
"What's wrong? i just want to hear your voice. I imagine it would be beautiful." Demetry said. Vic looked between Riley and his friend.
"I think you should stay clear of her. She obviously isn't interested in you." Vic said. Demetry fixed his gaze to Vic.
"What... Did you just say?" he asked with a twitch.
"Well, you obviously like her, right?" Vic observed. Demetry lunged at Vic, kicked him, and walked off.

Riley raised her eyebrows in surprise. Was he actually being polite? She looked back and forth between the two vampires. Riley jumped back and flinced as Demetry lunged at Vic. She steadied herself against a nearby tree as Demetry walked away.

Vic laughs. "He gets embarrassed so easily." he mentioned.
"I can tell." Kieda-Mae said, looking to where Demetry went.
Demetry muttered to himself as he was walking away. "Stupid humans... Stupid friend.... Stupid stupid stupid..."

Riley clutched her stomach and tears began streaming down her cheeks. Her shoulders shook and her mouth was twisted into a large smile. She laughed silently as Kieda-Mae and Vic talked, and Demetry muttered to himself.
