Literacy :: It's awesome, and to be honest, I don't like redefining it to make it more convenient for me, so I'll leave it alone. Be able to read, be able to write; be able to know what it is that you're reading and writing. Grammar is nice, knowing how to spell is pretty cool, blah blah blah.
Size limits are irrelevant. Longer posts are pretty sweet, but as long as you can keep things interesting, I'm not picky on how big your response is. =]
Standard Role Playing Courtesies :: This is just the traditional no-no rule. I won't go into detail with this one, because everyone should be following this rule by second nature. These are things such as godmoding and the mass majority of other things I no longer care to remember the name of. If I have to elaborate any more than that, I will eat your dog. >D
... Or something.
Patience :: I tend to do my best to give everyone at least one reply a day, and I can often give more than that depending on how fast things are going, but I can't always do this. I can't say I have the busiest life in the world, but I'm one of those guys that likes to keep themselves occupied. Thus, it may take me two or three days to give you a response. If you simply must have a reply within the same day you gave me yours, then you may be better off leaving me be.
If I vanish for a week or more, then feel free to poke at me. I may have forgotten about it - I hate to admit it, but I do that from time to time - or it may have been lost somewhere along the lines of it getting to me. Gaia's private message system has a habit of not sending things from time to time, for instance.
However, if I get a PM every other day asking what's taking me so long, I may be prone to taking longer to answer you than I would have in the first place. Consistent harassment for replies may even tempt me to drop the role play all together. D= I'd rather not be pushed to that point, so try to have some patience.
Location :: We can role play using Gaia's private message system, on a private thread, or over e-mail. I don't have much of a preference, so whatever you're most comfortable with will do just fine. I don't use messengers, so I'm afraid I'll have to refuse when it comes to role playing over them.
Entertainment :: Why are there so many people out there who seem to take role playing so bloody seriously? Sit back, get yourself a nice refreshment, and write a kick a** story with me. Even if you happen to be a career novelist, our role play is not a part of your career, so don't act too professional or morbidly serious with me. Relax a little bit. x3
Let Me Know :: Though I'll do my best to keep up with this board, I often miss people. If you'd like to role play, please drop me a PM to get my attention.

Romance :: Just to get this out of the way, really. I can and will play either gender, and any sexuality is perfectly fine by me. Casual / non-romantic relationships are fun, too.
Fandoms Character :: Any listed characters are canons I'd prefer to play at the moment. I rather like playing canons, so I'll always have at least a few listed. If there are any you'd like me to play that are not listed, feel free to ask - chance is, I'll at least be willing to give them a shot. =] I have no problems with others playing OCs, and if you'd prefer to just use the setting and ignore the canons, I generally have an OC or two up my sleeve for the series as well. Character :: Alas, any slashed through characters are characters I'm currently not interested in playing. D=
I don't list pairings. If I'm willing to play the character you want me to play in the pairing, I'll be willing to bet that I won't mind playing it with you if you ask.
Tales of Symphonia :: I started playing this game far, far, far too late. Dx Back when this game first hit the states, I could have easily found someone that was willing to play this. Now that I finally picked this game up, I can see why. Lloyd Irving Kratos Aurion Raine Sage Zelos Wilder Colette Brunel
.hack//GU :: I'm a .hack junkie, so I know the entire franchise inside and out. Out of all of it, I find GU to be the most role play friendly, because it's set up has a lot more flexibility and things to keep us preoccupied with. Haseo Kuhn Pi Sakubo :: I tend to play both of them, not just Saku or Bo. >D It's more fun that way. Zelkova Atoli Piros
Ragnarok Online :: Being one of those people who played this game back in it's first beta, I have a fondness of it purely because of how long I've known it. If anyone would like to try something using the world of RO, I won't have any objects. I haven't played it in quite some months, however, so I might have to go back and get a refresher course.
Naruto :: This one doesn't need much explaining, does it? I stopped bothering to keep up with the anime at this point because of the massive orgasm of fillers. I'll always be caught up with the manga, however, so I should be in good shape. Kakashi Hatake Jiraiya Shikamaru Nara Hidan Itachi Uchiha :: It still might take some convincing. Sasuke Uchiha :: I give up letting people convince me to play him. Too many bad experiences.
Soul Eater :: To be entirely honest, I'm not entirely sure why I'm so drawn to this series. o.o; Still, I love it. I've finished the anime, and have been keeping up with the manga. Franken Stein Medusa Gorgon Giriko Justin Law Chrona
Originals I'm just going to list some random things. =P If you have an awesome idea, you can ignore all of this and send it to me. These are just some of the basic genre areas for those who didn't come with any plots at hand.
Bump in the Night :: Be it because of poor role players, poor characters, or poor stories, a good bundle of those who used to play this have ran away. However, with a good plot these are still fairly awesome to me. =] Vampires and werewolves, the boogieman and other night-time demons, ghosts and the walking dead. I have no objections to any of it.
Heaven and Hell :: I'm quite surprised this one is still popular, actually. o.o; However, people seem to be stuck on most of the war concepts, which to me is a route that's a tad bit over-walked. Come on, there are two entirely different realms to toy with. Surely we can come up with something more entertaining. Angels and demons, gods and goddesses, and generally any solid theme involving any type of Paradise or Netherworld all fit in this little clump.
Behold the Future :: Ah, futuristic role plays. I love them, and yet hate what most people do with them. I love the technical aspect of this genre. Advanced cybernetics, androids and cyborgs, transportation, conveniences, and all the fun and chaos new technology can bring. Everything. However, everyone seems to be thrilled by post-apocalyptic ideas. These are just too boring. I've seen too many of them, I've tried and despised too many of them, and will probably stop bothering with you if you insist on doing one with me. D= They're just not interesting to me.
Investigation :: Knowledge is awesome, and a role play about the seeking of it can be pretty interesting. Detective work on finding a serial killer isn't my thing, though. Again, it's beaten to death, and it never goes well, since everyone seems to want to have sex with the person who's peeling their skin off to make coats. o.o; Nah. Of course, there are exceptions. Death Note managed to pull of the art of spending an entire story going after one person fairly well, for example.
I enjoy those long, endless hunts for information. Think something along the lines of the Holy Grail: you can spend your life digging up new clues, following them, have them lead you to new ones, hit a dead end and have to start over. A group that specializes in solving cases can be fun, as long as we're not obsessed with a single one for the entire duration of the game. Of course, there are exceptions, but I'll be picky about those exceptions.
Etc. :: Sexy plots are sexy, and anyone with an interesting idea can tempt me to do just about anything. Throw an idea at me, and I'll do my best to catch it. x]
