ok, i have this intro to a story that i am doing, its vague, and is suposed to be that way. its suposed to be from a point of view that you are observing, but you dont knowanyones names or anything about the characters. well, here it goes. let me know what you think.
The girl with the long black hair stood in the middle of the clearing. Anyone who saw her could tell that she was terrified. As the girl with the dark violet eyes circled in place in the knee-high grass, she noticed the wolf pack. It was slowly circling around her, surrounding the clearing that she was in. She also noticed that a strange, dark figure had appeared in the shadows of a nearby tree.
When one of the wolves stepped into the clearing, the girl saw that the creature was literally starving to death. She realized that was the reason why they were hunting a person that animals usually did not harm. She saw how little fur covered their flea infested coats, and the creamy-white foam that surrounded their muzzles. As the wolf reached the tree that the shadow was in, a person, whom the girl thought to be a man, leaped out. The animal stepped back, surprised, and a dark cloud went in front of the path of the moon.
As the man in the black cloaks eyes became adjusted to the dark, he noticed that the animal in front of him looked startled, but remained its ground. After what seemed to be forever to the girl in the long torn dress, the cloud left the path of the moonlight. When the wolf decided that the man was no threat; but otherwise could be considered as a source of food, it attacked the man. As the man and beast fought, the man brought out a knife of some sort from the folds of his cloak.
While the wolf tried to rip the mans arm apart, the man shoved the blade of the knife into the wolfs body. The creature gave a short yelp of pain then fell limp to the forest floor. When the rest of the heard realized that one of their members was killed, they all joined in the fight. One by one they fought; and one by one they fell. Some rose and fled, and others remained where they fell. The ones that stayed on the ground, the girl knew, would never see the next hunt.
While the man and the wolves fought, one of them noticed the girl who, for the moment, had been forgotten. The creature broke from the fight and headed towards the girl. When the girl realized what was going to happen, she started to run. With a huge leap, the wolf knocked the girl to the ground. As she struggled to break free, the wolf bit into the girls arm, and only then did she scream.
The man had stopped fighting, and was looking around for any more quarrels. All the other wolves were either dead or gone. He picked up a branch that had fallen from a tree nearby and rushed towards the girl that was struggling with the wolf. When he was within arms distance of the wolf, he used all the strength that he had left to hit it on the head. The contact of the stick and skull made a sickening crack, which meant that either the stick or skull had fractured.
The man in the torn cloak knelt down near the girl. To her, everything was fuzzy, spinning, and fading away. All the girl heard, other than the noises of the night, was a males comforting voice telling her “It’s all right, you're safe now.” Then she let the darkness fade everything away. A pale light came from the east. Dawn was there. The man with the wounded arms picked up the light body of the pale girl and walking into what was left of the shadows.
