Any one have any obscure songs or artists that the rest of us should check out? Post here so we can check it out!
I suggest giving the Foals and HelloGoodbye a listen.

it depends on your definition of obscure, doesn't it? confused like it could be a really popular band/artist in your area, but totally unknown elsewhere <.< like there's a lot of Canadian bands that only seem to stay popular in Canada...or some bands aren't as obscure as you think.
i've actually heard of HelloGoodbye, but i haven't actually heard any of their songs...or at least not off the top of my head.
i guess if i'd have to suggest something...Trust Company, Bloc Party, Electic Light Orchestra (or ELO; they're fairly old), Locksley (if you like the early Beatles)...can't really think of any others.

I usually say obscure is any music not ranked on the main billboard charts. Whether it be because they are indie, or because they are in a not so popular genre.

or they just simply haven't taken off yet, i guess. or sometimes the rest of the world only seems to know one or two songs by them when they have plenty of other really good (if not better songs)...i dunno, that's more my definition.
my tastes are in the rock area, which is a incredibly broad genre <.< there are so many subgenres it's hard to catagorize bands or figure out what they're in sweatdrop

I like this band called Lights. I guess they would be either pop or indie. I've seen them classified both ways but I'm really bad at classifying sub-genres.
