Apollo stared at the meat. It was hard to let go of his pride, but he must if he ever expected to eat. He tore into the flesh, savoring the taste. Apollo looked up to Kellan, expecting to see a look of triumph on his face, yet all he saw was a far off daze. Apollo continued eating, confused by his master's gaze. "How long have you lived like this?" It seemed to snap his master back into reality.

"For as long as I can remember." Kellan looked down at his ward, happy to see him finally eating. He knew that Apollo had grown in his parents territory, the way he acted gave it away. He had never known the hardship of winter without the comfort of his parent's cave. He had never had to scroung for food. Now poor Apollo had to live with Kellan's hardships everyday. How long would it be until they got to eat like this again. "Make sure you get your fill.

Apollo watched his mentor fall into a deep sleep, the one that follows days of unrest. He continued to tear apart the now metallic tasteing flesh. The gentle crick of the forrest seems to try to lul him to sleep and Apollo would have been more than happy to answer the call if it was not for Kellan already dozing. He had heard a frind of his father's speak of dragons such as he, those who travel the land stealing from other territories. But Apollo had always been told that they were a scrawny bunch yet here was Kellan, a rather large sized dragon by any means. As he continued his meal Apollo wondered to himself, enjoying the music of the forrest.
