A cool, windy breeze blew through to the cafe, as the door swung open and welcomed but another new guest. No one turned to greet her, except for the boy behind the counter, who had just done taking orders from his co-worker, a waitress. He looked at her up and down, then a thought came to him, about more strange creatures coming and going. "Hey there," he greeted the girl cheerfully, wiping the tops of the counters as he did so. "Welcome to Nymphandora's Cafe, little girl."
The girl with silver hair, Yume, looked down at herself. Did he just say.. little girl? and as she checked, she realized that she had changed appearance again. She looked younger, had a black grim-kitten-hat on her head, and wore a red kind of school uniform. She slapped herself on the forehead, with an oh-man-why-now kind of look. They probably don't serve coffee to children here.. she thought, her ears twitching underneath her hat. She then turned to the confused boy with a nervous chuckle, then asked, in the sweetest little voice,"I was just wondering... if maybe you had some tea?"

The young man smiled at her, then jabbed his thumb towards the other end of the room, leaning on his elbow amusedly as he looked at her. He was actually looking at her odd hat, it was as if he remembered it from somewhere. The girl nodded a "thank you" to him, then turned and went to the direction he was pointing at. There was a low beam there, but she was too short by then to have noticed it, anyway.
And, as the boy employee had said, the tea was at the end of the room. There were lots of them stacked up in an odd bookshelf that said that it was for Tea Lovers. "I don't really consider myself a tea lover.." she whispered to herself, biting her finger innocently as she walked up to it. ".. but I don't think they'll give me any coffee, now, anyway."

Right then, she didn't really feel like herself. She was more like the little girl she used to turn into before, the playful, but quiet one. It was one of the personalities she had that was closest to the real her; her other personalities were much more extreme. Her old friend, Cherry, always called her Haru when in this state.. not that Yume would really remember. That was why Yume could barely remember having fun in her life.. it was all Haru. The fun was sleeping inside her.
Haru looked up towards the ice-blue teabag at the very top of the shelf.. it was so familiar. Just the colour of it triggered her instant reaction.
The young girl jumped up and down, trying to reach the pack to no avail. A drop of sweat and a mark of frustration came to her face, as she pouted up at the ice-blue bag.. it was as if she really were a little girl, one who couldn't get what she wanted. She jumped up again, reaching up for what she wanted.

Ryuu looked up from his book again, noticing the little girl jumping frantically in front of the bookcase full of teabags.. her silver hair caught his eye. It was familiar to him, but the height and the clothes were too different for him to remember much. With a soft smile to himself, he put down his book again, stood up, and walked over to the girl.
He noticed her reaching for a specific teabag, and he took it without a word, and handed it to her. His smile was cheerful, as if he felt like an older brother again for once.

Haru took the teabag playfully, hugging it close to her chest with a delightful giggle.. then she looked up at the young man, and a wave or recognition rushed through her. She didn't remember him as Haru, but as Yume, deep inside. All Haru did was stare at him blankly with her pale red eyes, forgetting even to say thank you because of the nervous Yume shaking her from the inside.
She blinked, then finally nodded a thanks to the boy, but she didn't move away. Yume stood there, pinned the two of them to the spot, but with different expressions.. Haru was plain thankful and curious at the man's blue eyes, eyes that reminded her of something, eyes that made her want to remember; while Yume was hoping he wouldn't remember her.. scared of what might happen, yet as curious as always.

Ryuu smiled again at the little girl, until she flashed her red eyes at him. His smile grew wider, then he put a hand on the little girl's head, careful not to ruin her quaint little hat. She seemed not to remember him, but he didn't mind at all. It seemed so long a time, now, anyway.
"Would you like to sit down, little girl?" he asked, taking his hands into his pockets, gesturing towards the empty table with a book on it. If she didn't remember him, then he'd play his part. His smile never left his face, as he and the girl found themselves sitting across each other in amusement.

Haru nodded at the boy and took a seat across him, unaware of quite what she was doing just then. She only noticed when she found herself staring down at the price of her little tea-bag. Fair enough, she thought to herself, then looked back up at Ryuu. She blinked, and without thinking twice, which was what Yume would have normally done, and put down the tea-bag on the table carefully. In almost an instant, she shot her finger straight up at him, pointed the boy right between the eyes with a puffed up expression on her face. It immediately left her switching to her cute child demeanor.
"Why do you smile so much?!" she said in a voice so loud, yet so high, she nearly yelled the words out.
Yume, on the other hand, was staring out through her own eyes at the young man with her memories of her threatening to break through to Haru. She was reminded immediately about the things her old friend, Cherry, used to tell her when they were alone together in her room. That girl was like a real sister to her, only she was too bubbly for her comfort; as well as the fact that she wasn't anywhere near physical resemblance. It was funny how she could have been friends with a human girl, and how that particular human girl never minded her enormous difference to the whole household. This was always an admirable trait, far as the elders were concerned, but Yume never allowed herself to even think she was capable of being anything near it. And so now, she's the one to suffer. Haru was her complete opposite. She was younger, much louder, and much more childish compared to the mature old Yume. She was much like the girl Cherry would've enjoyed being with more any day. She, more often than not, humiliated and embarrassed Yume every chance she got.
