Well, it's not quite as bad as it sounds, but you know the part where you have to go to Ashe's father's tomb to retrieve her birthright? Well, I don't know what to do with this big blazing ball of fire baddie who's in my way and kills you instantly whan hit. So, I tried all the magick resistant equipping, but that didn't quite help...unless i did something wrong...
Help?

You mean the Dynast-King? He's her distant ancestor, not her father. And by "this big blazing ball of fire baddie" do you mean Belias? Well, for help in any boss fight really, you should check out GameFAQs. Here's a list of FAQs for XII; just click any of 'em and search for the tomb or Belias or whatever. ^_^

Okay, thanks man. You're the greatest smile Oh, and i have another problem, but the site should help me out! Thanks again!
One more thing.
After looking at that thing on the site, the fiery thing is a level 45 elemental, and they said the path that it's on going to the tomb, avoid it all costs. Ah, yes, I realized this when i died instantly after it threw a giant fireball at me...causing about 3000 damage.

Ohhhh, yeah, elementals... They show up in a lot of places in the game way before you're ready to fight them, and you won't be ready for a long time. sweatdrop Good luck with the rest!

Also they don't attack unless provoked so try not to aim any attacks at them. And when you do see any enemy and are going to confirm an attack. look at the name of the enemy and it will have a certain color. If the name is red stay away it is too strong for you. I'd also reccomend you gain a few levels while in the westersand it will help you with Belias and the two demon walls especially if you want the get the demonsbane sword. If it helps I was about level 26 but that may be a bit higher than most people want to train to seeing as most people are around 16 or something at that point. But it does help.

I had this problem as well. I found out after grinding levels I was way to low of a level. Some things do not require much thought. I fought the guy with no protection from fire. After raising my levels, I took him down only healing once with each character.

If you come to a spot where you just seem to be going down in one hit, go and level. Come back in five or ten levels and see if that helped. If not, the guy is elemental crazy and needs the correct protection items.

My problem was the boss you had to turn the fountains on to climb up to. I still have not beaten that guy. I had him over three fourths of the way dead, but my healing items ran out as he was casting his magic and physical barrier for the last time. Reminds me of the Holy Elemental boss from FF9. I never even lasted five seconds in battle with that guy. That's at max level with holy protection and a completely buffed M-Barrier.

Which boss do you mean? Are you sure it was IX? There is no M-Barrier in that; it's Shell.

Another thing you should know about elementals: even if you don't attack them, don't use magic when you're in the same area as them. It makes them attack on sight.

OMG, yeah, that was such a b***h. I had all kinds of gambits like 'self - bubble' that'd set them off.
