When my friend told me about this a while back, I seriously started crying, dood. Kinda insane of me, I know. I flipped. I was leik OHNOESSS!!! D: .....but yeah...I agree with Rauken...at least the boys are happy with their life directions. That's their choice, and their life, so I accept it.
Also, Pretty. Odd. did naht totally suck (in my opinion)....It was very unique, and different. At first I was if-y, but I grew to LOVE it. I listened to it every night, over and over again. A Fever You Can't Sweat Out was my def. favorite, though, I must say.

It's crazy how some of you guys are just finding out. I thought the news would be way more wide-spread.

Layaway Drummer The band is better off without them. Pretty Odd sucked. It was probably mostly influenced by Ryan and Jon. Brendon and Spencer are making better songs. New Perspective is great! Luckily they made it once they split up or it would have been a classical music disaster! With all due respect, I think it's pretty unfair of you to say Pretty. Odd sucked just because it was different. That's a bit closed-minded. And why do you assume that it was Ryan and Jon that influenced that album? Brendon did write a couple of the tracks. =/ KaTr11 i was upset when i heard that jon and ryan were leaving but then i thought maybe jon had a lot to do with pretty odd sucking since they were so awesome with brent...i love them no matter what they do though even without jon and ryan What makes you say it was Jon's fault? It took the whole band to make the album, and I'm sure they're proud of it. Can we just not place blame here and be a little supportive?

Know what I'm saying? yeah, but separating the "true" fans from everyone else in the guild is just as bad.

I don't thinking wondering that is "bad." I mean, what has caused such the huge decline of hype after Pretty. Odd. came out? Was it just that A Fever was old, so it was no longer in style? Is it that people simply didn't like Pretty. Odd.'s style of music? Were people just not fond of the hippiness, and missed Panic!'s "emo" stereotype? It's not that I'm seperating true fans from false fans, it just makes me wonder if people love Panic! because of the first album they created, or if they love Panic! because of the people they are, their ideas, their concerts, and creations in general. What's a "true fan," anyways? xD Who is one to define that?

But you know, they probably ran out of gas after that first album. It may also be because they were young when A Fever came out and now that they're grown up, not as many people like/can relate to them.

That reminds me of what Jon said on the boxset DVD, about how they didn't mind that their fans were mostly just young girls, because they will end up growing up with them.

Tbh i just don't think pretty odd appealed to the masses. I mean most of my friends who used to like panic at the disco moved on to heavier rock music as they got older. Maybe pretty odd was just too soft for people. I personally love it and prefer it to fever biggrin

Panic! can still put on an amazing show without them like when I saw them in December, amazing. But it's not the same... When I first listened to Pretty. Odd. I was like that is brendon's voice but where is the old Painc!?????? Now I love the Pretty. Odd. sound but AFYCSO still remains my f avorite. The only upside to the split is they are all free to do what they want. I have a feeling Panic! will return to their AFYCSO style. I am still very sad about the split so many months later...
