Character Info
Name : Duncan Haylen
Age : 46
Gender : Male
Position : Head Master - Practical Magika Teacher, Inner Manifestation Co-ordinator.
Appearance :

Duncan is a very stern looking man, with a severe looking Daemon to match. Duncan is meticulous in his appearance, and favours a monotonous colour scheme to his outfit, to fit with his somewhat serious personality. His hair is white, discoloured from an early age, and kept swept back; his eyes are black and hidden behind round glasses. Pale skin covers his body; his clothes are generally smart, consisting of shirt and smart trousers with posh shoes and and long coat.
Personality : As head master, it is only to be expected with such a high pressure job that the person in the position is a little stern. Duncan is very serious about his job, and likes to do things properly and meticulously. He is calm about situations, and generally straight-forward in his responses to questions. He prefers this approach, as he is actually a reasonably shy individual, and prefers to get situations with other people done quickly so he can return to his quiet study. However solitary he is, his position was granted him high status as the only known man in the region to have a Daemon at Inner Manifestation stage.
Keywords [5 Max]: Stern, calm, solitary, shy, intimidating.
History : Always the studious child of a large family, Duncan worked hard so as to avoid other people. He was always a quiet, shy child, serious and stern with himself and others where work was concerned. His Daemon manifested itself at the age of 13, one of the earliest known ages for a Daemon to manifest itself at the time of great Magika migration. For years it held its indistinct swirling form, never really becoming physical, even when she settled into her True Form. She shifted between the metaphysical and indistinct, never really forming fully, which upset the pair quiet a lot. It was at this time that he decided to become a Scholar and attempt to understand Magika in a little more depth.
He spent years in the City's college, and was there, as a Head Scholar, when the migrating Magika suddenly stopped. It was truely a strange time to be investigating Magika, but it was at this time that his Daemon, Aidensur, starting to become a true physical being, as did many other older Human's Daemons. This was an overjoyous time for many, and the quiet couple really started to enjoy one another's company on their own terms. It was then that they were offered a chance of a life time. Because of his continuing work with Magika, he was asked to take charge of a School, dedicated to children that were starting to manifest more tangible Daemons, and try and understand the workings of these manifestations. He was also decreed with the job of understanding the Inner Manifestation. Though his own was not at such a stage at this time, the pair took on the responsibility of Head Master, and continued their Scholary work from within the school.
At the age of 36, his Daemon changed for the last time in her life. Her pelt became completely black, her eyes white. Her body glowed slightly, and they knew something quite magnificant had occurred. At the time, they had been working diligently to better understand Daemons, and many of their quiet musings were together, understanding one another and how the other functioned. It was in one of these sessions she had started her change, and by the end, Aidu had grown in stature to a much taller version of herself, and had the ability to use the Magika that made her. It intrigued them both equally, for Duncan could also feel the Magika that formed his Daemon flowing through his own veins, and was able to control it to a lesser degree then his Daemon. They were greatly received by the Scholary dedication, and their findings published in many books. Duncan and Aidu still continue to run the school, and have taken it upon themselves to help their charges learn the secrets of the Inner Manifestation and the use of Magika.
