Hello and welcome to my fabulous search thread. You can call me V. Below I have listed some things to keep in mind before pming a request to me.
I am now craving a relaxed one to two paragraph per post fantasy rp.
V’s helpful tips for a successful rp
Other wise known as: What I want from you and what you’ll get from me
1. Don’t ditch me, I really don’t appreciate getting ignored. If you are no longer interested in our role play please tell me. I will not be offended and I am willing to adjust so we are both happy.
2. Like most I would appreciate if you refrain from chat speak. Occasionally in ooc chat speak is fine.
3. I ask you be over 18.
4. For the moment I’m only looking for het. I do not play yaoi. I can play males however.
5. On that note, I am currently posting up to a two to three paragraph on average. I can post more if I am moved to and I humbly request that you can post up to at least one paragraph.
6. I role play over private messages. But if you do indeed insist you may be able to talk me into a private thread.
7. I don’t role play anime. I don’t watch anime I don’t really like most anime. Please don’t ask.
8. However I watch a lot of movies if you want to use a world a move takes place in that’s fine. I used to work in a video rental store, I’ll know what your talking about.
9. Please use past tense when role playing. While I’m in the area of the things that get to me. Please.. PLEASE if your playing thousands of year old character don’t make them act like a teenager! 10. I don’t play school settings. I hated high school and really don’t want to relive some of those memories.
11. I am not interested in group roleplays at this time. Please no advertising them in this thread.
Suggestions and tips subject to adjustments.

Genres and subjects that interest me. If you don’t see, yours here ask about it. It’s just a small list of things’ I’ve done or thought about lately. Cravings highlighted
Fantasy (past, present, and future.) Mutant (x-men style) Pirates Fairies Medieval futuristic Steam Punk
Anything with fantasy elements really.
And your suggestions! I also like to just wing it and base and role play off of our character. In fact, I prefer it.
and any parings that would go with the above and most other things one would suggest.
I'm not into: demons, vampiers, werewolves, zombies, incest, horror, or really bloody things.
Plots and sample intros.
1. There is an alternate reality of some sort with bizarre parallel to earth where magic still run rampant and kings rule the lands. The Kingdom of Knorr is in deep trouble. Impending doom worries the King night and day. The only hope is a prophecy foretelling the coming of a savior who will come from another land and learn their ways to save them all. Then go back and save there own land. The king’s chief magician (a prodigy of sorts only in their 20's which is very young to be a chief magician) is waiting for the savior to train them and help them save their home. Meanwhile, in our own world and time. There is a person, who is quite unaware of the world or their prophecy but keenly aware that something is wrong with the world. But what can they do? An average person unsatisfied and lost in life is no help at all where governments and leaders should be solving such things.
The light coming through her window came from the very full moon outside as she watched at such an impossible hour for the moment that no body waited for. Except for maybe astrology nuts and people other than her interested in such things. The full moon was about to eclipse, which was very exciting considering it was a very rare blue moon. But then again Evelyn Cartwright wasn't an astrology student. Just an interested person in the beauty in nature. Eve was a waitress, a recently out of work one at that, in her very large town in between careers and degrees. She was a good student the 20 something just couldn't deiced what she wanted to do. So she did what other people her age did, got a job and continued on until something hit her on the head. The only thing on the red head of hers was the current state of things, which was another thing she was interested in. The troubling state of the world and its slow decent into a cess pool. But she felt really powerless to do anything about any of it and continued her watching and waiting for a real sort of life to begin. Her pale skin lit up reflecting the moon beams outside as it inched closer to its final stage of eclipse when she deiced that it might be better viewed outside of her small apartment in the parking lot where the buildings would block her view less. So she slipped on a comfortable pair of cloth boots over her jeans and slipped into the night. The Elevator was most often broken so she was pleased to find the regular 'out of order' sign removed from the big sliding metallic doors. She pressed the button to summon the elevator peaking anxiously over the rail to not miss the eclipse which was drawing to a close. She bounced on her feet worrying she'd be inside the elevator and miss the whole thing when it flew open and she stepped inside. Not noticing at all that there was no elevator there. She fell down the empty shaft to what she assumed would be her doom. But that moment the moon fully eclipsed and the woman disappeared. Eve blacked out. Half way down the elevator shaft, everything went dark but she managed to feel herself hit the ground of something that felt like . . . Hay? But there was no time to contemplate the meaning of such things before everything completely left her conscious. Only a horse in the stables seemed to notice, he moved around with sudden jerked movements quite spooked by the whole matter. The savior of a foreign planet being brought into the world in the kings stable, seems a familiar scenario. But there were no cries of a babe simply a soft thud where her body landed unharmed except for a bump on the head. When she came to, a small hand rubbed her head as she winced at the bruise on her head. “Hay?” She pondered slowly blinking her green eyes open and looking around her. Hay, the smell of horses, a stable? This certainly wasn’t Kansas or the bottom of an elevator shaft. She wondered if this was a dream from being in a coma. “Hello?” She called out in a tentative voice. Eve struggled upwards and staggered toward the door, her vision blurry and body sore trying to find someone . . . Anyone.
2. The story is outlined in my intro post which is posted along with the lyrics to the song below. The Lyrics:
Hand Of Sorrow
The child without a name grew up to be the hand To watch you, to shield you, or kill on demand The choice he'd made he could not comprehend His blood a grim secret they had to commend
He's torn between his honor and the true love of his life He prayed for both but was denied
So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind So many years have past, toward a noble land of lies Will all our sins be justified?
The curse of his powers tormented his life Obeying the crowd was a sinister price His soul was tortured by love and by pain He surely would flee, but the oath made him stay
He's torn between his honor and the true love of his life He prayed for both but was denied
So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind So many years have past, toward a noble land of lies Will all our sins be justified?
Please forgive me for the sorrow For leaving you in fear For the dreams we had to silence That's all they'll ever be Still I'll be the hand that saves you Though you'll not see that it is me
So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind So many years have past, toward a noble land of lies Will all our sins be justified?
Intro Post: The kingdom of Rynora had once been the most magnificent Kingdom in the continent, once. That was before the war started. The war to end all wars they said but all it did was lead to the downfall of their blessed kingdom. The irony was that Rynora had been the victor all those years ago. That’s when he came to them. They never referred to the prisoner by name but over time he became known as the hand. A secret kept from most, only the private council and the king really knew about him. Only the king knew what it was he had been called before. The King's private council as a group of five, three men and two women, one of the women was Lady Trepadora De'Lorenzo of a southern district near the border of the ruined kingdom the Hand had once lived in. Lady Dora, as she was called, was a young council member but chosen to be one of the five after her father had passed on, being of the original council, and quite earned her place among the chosen few after his passing. With her brothers taking care of the large district she was free to settle into the life in the capital tending to the council matters and representing her fathers ideals. Some regarded her as a token member, a passionate youngster. But no one really knew just what this "youngster" was yet to do. The hand had struck a dreadful bargain with the King and thus began life as a private strike force only adding to the lies and false nobility that was building after the years of the war. As time grew so did the ego. Not to mention tensions in the kingdom, and the council room. Seeing what was done to life and the disregard for slaves and prisoners, and to there own powerful secret prisoner she gathered up her courage after years of private suffering and went before the council in what was to be a fruitless effort for his release. What no one, not even the hand, expected were more secretive motives something pure and burning that was never thought to ever be brought to light, she loved him. Her long chestnut brown hair was braided and pulled back elegantly, she wore her finest that day as she stood in the front of the small private chamber to echo thoughts she had long pondered
"So many dreams were broken and so much was sacrificed Was it worth the ones we loved and had to leave behind So many years have past, toward a noble land of lies Will all our sins be justified?" (Credit to Within Temptation words not mine)
Lies! They called blasphemy and treason! Calling their actions wrong. She was laughed at to think they would release the prisoner against some girl’s moral obligations. So, she left rejected. If she could not do this the legal way she would have to free him herself, even if that meant her own expulsion.

Characters
I have a few characters I LOVE to rp and I’m trying to find a good rp for each of these. If you see one you’d like to rp with let me know. All details are up for discussion. If you like the character but something about them bothers you let me know it may be able to be tweaked.
1. Mutant characters. ( Note! I can make another and am known to do so these are some of my favorite)
Name: Adelle De'Arce
Age: 25 Description: Adelle's eyes are usually the first thing people notice when they meet her, a deep brown and lively despite being sightless and usually staring off into the distance with a sort of glaze over them. Her dark brown hair reaches the middle of her back and is most often left handing straight down. Her mother used to take her to fancy salons as a child and it remains one of her only fond memories of that woman so she likes to have her hair styled from time to time despite the fact she can’t see it anymore. Usually her bangs are cut in a straight plain line just over her eyebrows to keep it out of her face. The dark of her hair is contrast by her very fair skin, she was kept out of the sun because of it when she was under and still retains and inability to tan.
Personality: An optimistic outlook always kept her hoping that someday everything would be all right and it carried her all the way to America where she continues to remain hopeful. Adelle doesn’t discuss her mother as a part of her upbringing, when asked about her past she chooses to talk about her life in the school for the blind.
History: To find out who one is sometimes means looking into one’s past which Adelle is not eager to do. Her mother was a French débutante. A figure in high society only plagued by the blindness of her daughter Adelle. It wasn’t that the illness worried her and she was afraid for her daughter, or even that she thought about it very much at all. It was a blemish to her. Something to despise her for an addition to the fact that she was an unwanted pregnancy to begin with, and now this child was scarred with blindness and a burden to her. She was only ten when she was sent away to a school for the blind. Adelle was fearful at first but it turned out to be one of the happiest times in her life for the short time she was there. It wasn’t until she finally hit puberty at 14 when things started to take yet another turn for the worst. Finding that people often took sympathy on her for having a blind child and being a single mother, Adelle’s mother quickly ordered her back home to be taught by a private tutor and be brought out at parties. She managed to keep in touch with a few friends from the boarding school for the blind over the years and even make a few contacts among the other children her mother approved to be seen with. So she wasn’t always alone. She had learned to live with her blindness and was surprisingly self sufficient Much to her mothers dismay, she had hoped her daughter was still as helpless as they day she left so she could show her to her rich friends have them pity her. When a well adjusted and happy Adelle returned she was furious. Often taking it out on her daughter. The lashing out from her mother behind closed doors and puberty suddenly awakened the sleeping secret with in her and a gust of wind rushed in from a open window and threw her mother against a wall. Adelle was shocked, and frightened at what she had done. Her mother sent her away again. So she went back to her beloved school with a new reputation among the teachers, most who feared the mutant kind and dared not to get close. There was an exception, an older woman who was very wise and kind to the girl had taken her under her wing and even encouraged her to use her powers and learn to control them. When Adelle finally left the school with a degree in teaching and control of her wind use, which she had discovered she could use to see like some sort of radar, she left France for America with a dream of a new life.
Abilities: Inspired by Ray Charles and her Piano classes she took before her illness, Adelle was taught how to play as a blind person. She can speak French, English, and Spanish and has a love for wine. Adelle is not a violent person but has taught herself ways of using her abilities to defend herself. There most often times seems to be some sort of breeze around her despite the fact all the doors and windows may be shut. That’s just her way of feeling around.
Name: Leila O’Clare Gender: Female Race: Human (mutant)
Description: Though Leila may be small in stature she makes up for it in her appearance and attitude. The first thing anyone sees is her purple Mohawk adding five inches to her five-foot two body and slender frame. Her body and her almond shape eyes come from her oriental mother but she inherited her father’s pasty white skin. Leila’s Mutant power made it hard for her to touch people all the time, not wanting their life stories by picking up a spoon that happened to be a witness to something she didn’t wish to know. So, Leila had to cover up more than usual. Her free spirited edgy style never changed but she’s more apt to wear tights with skits and long jeans with her long sleeved shirts.
Equipment and abilities: Leila never goes anywhere without a pair of gloves on her hands. Mostly a pair of leather gloves, sometimes a simple pair of black latex gloves from her tattoo shop. Leila is an artist and has been hanging around her uncle’s shop learning from him since she was very young. While she’s not a world known artists she can turn out a tat or two. Her real talent as it turns out is her mutant ability. Leila can touch an object and see it’s history. If there was a murder in a house and she touched a wall of that house she can witness the events that took place. She’s even been known to see events from touching people, though she sees what happened around a person’s body and doesn’t feel their emotions or know their thoughts.
History: Leila’s childhood was relatively normal. No sordid tragic past. Nothing even to make it even remarkable except for the time she started hanging out in her uncle’s tattoo shop during the summers when she first learned the art. It was when she found her mutant power when she was 16 that things started to change. At first it was only she was careful about touching public things then she started wearing more clothing so she would accidentally ‘see’ something she wasn’t meaning to. Telling her parents was hard but over all they supported their daughter like they had when she expressed interest in following in her uncles footsteps. Life in the suburbs and smaller areas in Connecticut were hard, especially when people weren’t too fond of mutants. So she picked up her tattoo equipment and got a job in a shop in New York. When she settled into the life in the big city she saw how people mistreated and even hated her people harsher then they did where she grew up and felt concerned and wanting to do something about it. So in her free time she gets involved with mutant activists who stop plans that would harm mutants and promotes mutant an humans working together.
Name Allie ‘Aqua’ Starr Gender: Female Description: A short young lady at only 5'2 she has blue hair that falls to her mid-back and eyes that are the same color of her hair. Due to her mutation of course. She wears beaten up clothing that looks ragged due to being a run away and always on the move.
Abilities: Control over liquid, normally uses water.
History: Miss June B. Starr hated anything that she considered not normal. Mutants, Homeless people, and her daughter Allie. She had two children before her husband passed away when Allie was 5, Jason was the oldest and 10 at the time. After the sudden accident (some find it very suspicious and there are rumors Miss Starr herself was to blame but no one could prove it) she seemed to go further off the deep end than she already was. She doted on her perfect son and ignored her daughter. A familiar story, it happens some times. But not to the extent June took it. If it wasn’t for Jason taking responsibility where a 10-year-old shouldn't have to Allie might not have made it. Jason loved his younger sister very much and practically raised her himself. That’s why it was so hard for him the night she went away. Allie Learned at age 13, as luck would have it, she had a unique and uncontrollable control over liquid, mostly water. and as most uncontrollable powers go her mother found out and promptly summoned the authorities to take her away. Jason being held back as he promised her he would find her.
That was 7 years ago...
Name: Rhiannon O’Claire Gender: Female Race: Human (mutant) Description: Rhi is normal hight though painfully thin and pale. Her blond hair is thin and very light. The most striking featuring being her pale blue eyes.
Abilities: Healing, recovering lost memories. When she heals someone she peaks into there subconscious reliving a particularly painful memory healing them emotionally as well. This might be developed in a second mutation into something more powerful using memory and mind control.
History: Rhiannon’s mother kidnapped her from her father when she was 8 and took her to New York. Her parents had been divorced long before that when she was 3. Her mother was a schizophrenic and manic depressive quickly losing her grasp on reality and taught her daughter to mistrust the government and all authority. Young Rhi didn’t know any better and still struggle with her mothers lies. At age 10 she forced her daughter to turn to prostitution to supply her drug habit. Rhiannon didn’t know any better and feared police. She had no where to run to. At age 16 her mother was killed by her supplier. Leaving Rhi to do the only thing she knew, prostitution. At age 18 she finally decided no more, and wanted to leave the scene but ended up homeless and begged. All of this, a dark secret she keeps in her heart. She won’t tell anyone for fear they will not like her or use her like her mother did.
2. Pirates!
Name: Rosemary Thatcher Gender: Female Race: Human
Description: Rosemary is a short young woman being five foot two and only one hundred pounds. The most remarkable thing about her however, is her sunset red hair. Her hair is unmistakable, the first thing everyone notices and is accompanied by the trademark pale freckled skin that frequents redheads. Her freckles usually only dot the bridge of her nose. She wares’ mens clothing, she finds it easier to move around in and can be seen in a loose white dress shirt and a pair of small black pants that hang close to her body, a blue bandanna keeps her long hair out of her face and a solid black belt hang around her middle with a saber on each side and telescope handing on her left hip close to her light saber. On her feet are a pair of red boots that was made for her by her family and match her trademark hair.
Equipment and Abilities: Rosemary was trained in the art of fencing and keeps two sabers with her at all times. One is Heaver than the other and looks made for a man, someone a bit larger but she’s adapted and learned to use it well. Her best sword is the other, a lighter smaller version hand made for her by her brother. Her brother begged her parents for lessons and they let him. When he got home he promptly taught his sister to have a partner and so that one day they could run off and be pirates. She’s agile and flexible and has worked very hard to become so. History: Rosemary was supposed to marry a wealthy merchant, she was supposed to wear dresses and live off her rich husband (which would in turn save her families shoe business). But Rosemary often did not do what she was supposed to. When the son of a wealthy man came to her parent’s house to propose marriage to her father Rosemary was appalled, it would be a good opportunity for the family but she could not consent to marrying a man she did not love. Torn between helping her family and keeping her love for someone she felt deserved her love. She went to her beloved older brother for advice. It had long been a dream of there’s to run off and become pirates ever since they were little. When he convinced his parents to let her older brother, have lessons in fencing him in turn taught Rosemary all he knew until she became better at it than he. But He eventually needed to get a job and grow up leaving their dreams behind and became a weapon’s smith. In a dangerous accident he lost his legs cementing that his dreams of being free and a pirate was at an end. But Rosemary's were only beginning. He reminded her of their dream and presented her with two fencing sabers. One heavy and strong made for his arm, the other light and swift made for her. Rosemary took them and some mans clothes, along with a pair of red boots her parents had crafted her and ran off to make her own fortune
3. Fantasy
Name: Liland Gender: Female Race: Human (as far as she knows can be changed to suit)
Description: Long brown hair often falls over her face as she tries not to be noticed. If one could see past her thin hair, they would see gray eyes, mostly looking at the floor and pale skin. She wears ill fitting tattered dresses, though her guardian is wealthy enough to buy her other clothing she refuses. It makes her uncomfortable, specially to accept things from others. She only stands about 5'2 or so and is a thin petite young woman,
Equipment and Abilities: Books from the library are the only things’ she really posses. She’s been taught a bit of magic from the librarian who was once a wizard before retiring to the library. History: Raised as an orphan in the capital city of Rynora None of the sisters who run the orphanage remember how she came or exactly how old she was and due to records being kept poorly she resigned to the fact she may never really know. When Liland grew to be too old for adoption (the sisters estimated her age to be 18 ) they unceremoniously kicked her out of the home to fend for herself. The streets were cold and unfriendly. The only occupation that was left was very undesirable (prostitution), she ran and hid in the very large 4 story libraries that was the pride of the kingdom. There was no bigger gathering of books anywhere in the land. The old librarian found her eventually and let her stay on as the assistant librarian and began to impart his knowledge of magic on the girl. Now it a few years later and the old man is dying. She’s taken over care of the library and care of the man as once he took care of her.
