So, I'm completely new to this forum. I haven't kept up with the JPop scene for a while so I was curious to know what people would reccomend for someone who likes...
- Judy and Mary
- Ayumi Hamasaki
- Utada Hikaru
- Hitomi
- Hitomi Yaida
- The Pillows
- The Brilliant Green
etc. etc.

As for me, well, all of my info is on my profile. I'm new to GaiaOnline as well so it'd be very nice to make some new friends! Please feel free to contact me whenever! I love meeting new people! 3nodding

I've listened to L'arc en Ciel but haven't ever been a very big fan. I find the guy's voice to be a bit... irritating. I will definitely see if I can find MP3s of the other bands you've named and preview them! Thanks for the response! 3nodding

Heh you'll get use to Hyde's voice. I wasn't too crazy about his voice when I heard it at first, but now I love it. They're my favorite Jrock band. Also you should check out, Namie Amuro, Do As Infinity, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, Plastic Tree, and Gackt. They're good too. whee

Ooo... *takes notes* Thanks for the reccomendations! You are most definitely not the first to reccomend Gackt to me. =)

Hyde's voice just hasn't ever worked for me. It's kind of like Guns 'n' Roses... If the voice didn't suck so much IMOHO, I would probably love them. Oh well. stare

As for Do As Infinity, I'm almost sure I have every single one of their albums including their live albums on MP3 as I'm too poor to buy real CDs. crying

LOL yeah Gackt is cool! whee And yeah same for me, I love Do As Infinity, but I'm not a fan of online shopping. And that's the only way I can get their CDs. But I would love to have them. And I'm not a huge BoA fan. But she is pretty good.

try Arashi ^_^ the first song I ever heard was Kitto Daijoubu.. it's catchy. At first I wasn't really crazy about them, but after listening to their songs for awhile, I started to become a fan. Oh, and they don't only sing. They dance and act too 3nodding

Oh, and if you watched the Hana Yori Dango live-action dorama, you'll probably know Doumyouji Tsukasa. Doumyouji there was played by Matsumoto Jun, a member of Arashi. And the HYD themes were sung by Arashi as well (WISH for season 1, and Love so Sweet for season 2)

Otsuka Ai is also good ^_^
And Yuna Ito
And NewS
And YUI 3nodding

~w-inds. (My personal favorite)
[good songs by w-inds. are LIGHT, Long Road, and Hanamuke]
{SUPER LOVER ~I Need You Tonight~ is w-inds.'s most famous song}
~Koda Kumi
[good songs by Koda Kumi are BUT, D.D.D. feat.SOULHEAD, and Gentle Words]
~SMAP
[good songs by SMAP are DearWOMAN and Arigatou]
~Tamaki Nami
[good songs by Tamaki Nami are Sanctuary and MY WAY]

~MINMI
[a good song by her is Samaataimu!! (Summer Time)]
~KAT-TUN

I also highly reccomend Utada Hikaru's newest album ULTRA BLUE. It is really good! The song BLUE is really awesome.

In addition with w-inds., the lead singer, Keita Tachibana also has some solo stuff out. Some of it is pretty good (Like Michishirube) but he sounds better with w-inds. XDD
