Earlier today, me mother told me I was being forced into a class. Normally, I wouldn't care, as.... Well, one way or another, I have to take some form of class.
But then it turned out to be a class that's so absolutely useless that it's insulting. So I tell her to get me the hell out of it, and she says "Then what class are you going to take?" Biiiiiiiiiiiii- Yeah. If I had my way, I'd stick with AP physics, computer science, and advanced technical drawing. I'm already in three useless classes: Government, English 12, and theater arts. Two I have to take, one that has the possibility of being entertaining. So, for this annoying seventh period, I wanna just blow it off and go home. I make this known and she asks, "Why?" I tell her there are no other classes offered that would be worth a rat's a**. Then she says I'll not get into college if I don't take a seventh class.
I say that's retarded and needs to be changed. She thinks I'm getting just a little ambitious, or something. Then goes off saying I'm like Hitler or Stalin, because..... Well, what I got from it, it's because I want things to change for the better, and I'm kind of a loner. And somehow, that makes me evil. stare Now, I don't mind gettin' called evil. But when I state that I want to make a system better, and you call that evil? Very annoying. And it makes me wonder what "Evil" means nowadays. confused

Evil is someone who takes away people's right to chose. They make all your decisions for you, convinced you would just make the wrong choices if left alone.
I'm really just basing my version of evil off of Saint Dane in the Pendragon series. sweatdrop

You are totally like hitler. Weren't you the one hailing the bent cross during PE class freshmen year?
It is true that the classes are mostly useless. It is better, however, to take a class that you might find interesting. A student that realizes the system is pointless doesn't look all that much different than a student that just doesn't care, regardless, on paper.
You aren't having problems, and you seem to be decently level headed, but others can't really tell now can they? I am a big rebel, but I like to be a rebel with a cause. This is something that isn't much of a battle. So you need to spend some more time in school? Do it. To be honest, it is better for you to take a class that challenges you. Most students are overwhelmed because they slack senior year. Take more course work than junior year, and don't just wing it.
Don't do it to look good for colleges, because if you did good you'll seem good either way. Do it for yourself. Don't make the mistake everyone else makes. That is my advice to you.

Generally, evil means a lack of respect for life and/or living things.
But that's far from a good definition, because people themselves are neither good nor evil. It's actions that are good or evil, and even then many shades of grey exist.
Also, you should have busted out the "reducto ad Hitler" line. Basically, on the internet, if you refer to Hitler / Nazis first, you loose the debate by default. xd

So like... you're evil and a potential despot and mass murderer because you don't want to be stuck in an extra class for a year? ...Someone's overreacting a bit. biggrin *also immediately thought of reductio ad Hitlerum*
Also, taking one period off from classes isn't going to keep you out of college if you've got what it takes otherwise. I always insisted on having one full study hall period every year. (We had eight periods, if that's different from your schedule.) I used it to catch up on homework or go to the band room or read or cram for tests or whatever. And I got into Yale. :p (Didn't go there, though... it wasn't the right place for me.)
So yeah... I don't know if you can convince your mom to ease up on you, but she's definitely on the wrong track. In a lot of ways. biggrin

Apparently the definition of evil is me. Lots of people here go by that =/ If I would do it its evil. If its something I dont like or wont do its typically good. Kind of a random thing. >>
Also to the saint dane hater. ;-;

You have to go through the system before you can change it. This fact sucks but it's how things in this mixed up world work.
Right now the closest thing you can get to going home early is to pick a bludge class and do your other class work in it. That way when you do get home you dont have to worry about homework and junk.
