It's quite a good anime, though the story is a little too fast-paced for my liking. So there's another, parallel dimension called Guze, or something, and some of the inhabitants, Tomogara, goes here to eat and collect power of existence to use. It's a Flame Haze's job to protect balance and kill the evil Tomogaras. People whose existence have been eaten become torches which will someday disappear.

Sakai Yuji, a highschool student, one day finds himself in a life-threatening situation, and found out he was dead already. He was a special torch, carrying a Hougu inside him. Hougus are treasures of the other world, and in himself he was carrying the most precious treasure, which was why many Tomogaras came after him. The Flame Haze Shana and her companion Alastor decided to stay with him so she can hunt the Tomogaras, for Yuji is a lure. Slowly she finds herself falling for just a Torch...
