If this art (and artist) made him feel anything at all, it was "Uncomfortable..." He'd said it out loud and then sort of looked wide eyed towards the shameless artist.

"What's so Divine about it?" He didn't like this weird artist already and sort flashed him a fanged sneer, hoping he got the idea. "Looks like my little sister could do it." This statement was muttered more softly, under his breath. Alex had a bad temper and even though this artist hadn't riled it yet, it was a possibility.

"Ooh. Kitsu." He grabbed her hand and tried to pull her away. He also didn't like the idea of the dreadlocked man talking to Kitsu about sexuality. She was sweet and ... he was skeevy.

"I like these!" A elderly Japanese woman was in the next booth and all of her work was traditional to her culture. Hand painted scrolls and canvases with sakura trees, the sea, and koi hung gently around her space. The artist herself was painting another as they approached with no references at all.

"Look.. maybe you can watch how she does it.. to help yourself?" Alex whispered to her, realized he was still clutching her hand, then flushed and dropped it.

Kitsu broke into a brilliant smile, ignoring the artist that had tried to start up the conversation and heading for the next booth. She didn't even seem to notice Alex's slip in grabbing her hand. In fact, she would have thought it quite natural, if she had thought about it before.

She almost knocked the poor dreadlocked man over with her equine half in her haste to get away. Then she glanced back to make sure Alun and Ouisa weren't lost, her mothering instincts kicking in belatedly.

Alun and Ouisa had followed, blissfully oblivious to any of Kitsu's darker thoughts; their telepathy extended only to one another, and thus their ability to read minds, so to speak, was rather limited. The Legend had kept a few paces back, Ouisa once more settled atop his head as his gaze slowly wandered over the colorful booths and the odd people in them. So many fascinating things! Honestly, it was hard to keep his attention on Kitsu and Alex - they would keep going while he would linger, distracted by a splash of color in a painting, or an unusual shape in another. He couldn't exactly appreciate art for what it was, but Alun could be intrigued by it.

Ouisa tugged his hair lightly and pointed at Kitsu, who was clearly turning back and waiting for him. "Hurry up," she hissed quietly into his ear. In a brief moment of obedience Alun jogged forward, waving at the pair and smiling cheerfully as he arrived. He didn't say a word to them however, instead he simply turned and stared at the paintings. Unable to help himself, Alun reached out to run his fingers lightly over a painting depicting a koi - it was so vibrant, it almost looked real!

"Alun, don't touch," scolded Ouisa, but the Legend didn't seem to be listening at the moment.

The elderly artist smiled at Alun. "Do you like it? Please, please appreciate it in any way you must." She clearly didn't mind that he had touched the art. "Not very expensive.. if you like." Despite her kind demeanor this woman was still trying to make money, and she gave the children all a wink.

Alex rubbed his hair a little, the black spikes remaining ever springy under his hand, "I don't think we have much money.. But I've seen fish like that before. My friend has a garden with them." He still felt bad about eating one of the fish as a baby. "Is there anywhere like this around?"

"Gaia Japanese Tea House." The old woman smiled, seemingly fond of the mismatched friends. "On the edge of Barton Town. Very pretty .. and free!" She laughed a little bit at their lack of funds.

The older lady then smiled at Kitsu and looked her over, "You like art?"

Kitsu nodded, smiling brilliantly and hugging her notebook to her chest. Now that she knew where everyone was, this was marvelous fun! She should have brought more money, though. She wished she could buy the painting of the fish.

Maybe if she was careful and came back after she was done looking she'd still have enough! Then she tilted her head slightly at that tea house comment before looking at the boys. It would be fun to go see that sometime, as well, but who knew when they would have time?
