Raquel sighed, knowing she shouldn't have tried to dump that on him while he was here recovering. but at least he had fallen asleep on a good note. She stood, leaning over to kiss him sweetly before turning to grab her purse. She needed coffee and a distraction. Anything to keep her thoughts from wondering too much and make her miserable. With one last soft smile, she headed out to the hospitals cafe, then maybe browse the gift shop before Damian awoke.

Days later, Damian was released from the hospital. He was able to wear a shirt and comfortable jeans, be showered once again (though more on his own) and walk a few more feet to his own wheelchair. The casts were still in place, since those injuries would still take some time, but Damian was just thankful he could leave.
"Well my dear," he said to Raquel as they were packed and ready to leave. "No doubt the papers have been waiting for something to happen. Think we can make it safely to the speeder?"

Raquel had requested their bags and whatnot be waiting in the speeder so they could leave asap. The press had been trying to come in during their stay to see for themselves what was going on, though some as well as other higher end 'partners' of Damian's had sent gifts or flowers or cards with artificial condolences etched in them, all of which having been sent to their home instead of the hospital room.
"We may have a little trouble, but I think we can avoid too much paparazzi." She smiled, gingerly leaning down, kissing his neck sweetly. "Let's get you home..." She smiled, pressing her forehead agaisnt his neckline, glad he was feeling slightly better and not as tender. She pulled away so she could wheel him out of this god forsaken hospital room. She couldn't help but smile, leading him down towards the elevators, ignoring some of the looks and voices of curious nurses and a few doctors.

Once inside the elevator, Damian heaved a huge sigh of relief. He was leaving this place of sterility and terrible controlled cold. "I'm donating to the hospital," he said, craning his neck back to see Raquel. "I was thinking of doing something more personal for the nurses and whatnot, but I think the hospital as a whole could use more funding. Do you think it's a good idea?"
Soon enough, he would let Raquel into his world of finances, so she could see numbers and stocks, and what he did to keep things running smoothly. They were partners in everything, now.

Raquel smiled, nodding as she leaned against the back of the elevator. "I think so. On some of my frequent trips around this place, I got a glimpse of the pediatrics and maternity ward. They're...adequate but looks like they could use some help..." She nodded, thinking back to the little children who suffered anything from coughs, to more serious problems. A little extra funding could do wonders for them.

Damian had to wonder how Raquel had found her way to the maternity ward, or to the pediatrics during their stay at the hospital. He wouldn't press the issue, though. "Let's get home and think about this there. I'm looking forward to my bed again..."

Raquel nodded. "I'd like to be able to fit into bed next to you again. And just hold onto you until your better." She smiled, kissing his cheek sweetly as the elevator doors opened. But her sweet mood was instantly ruined by a slight mob of media. She smiled politely but said nothing, trying to get Damian out the front door of the lobby and into their awaiting speeder, though the reporters were pushy.

If he was cantankerous enough, he would have shoved them out of his way, swore, and tried to keep Raquel from the camera's eye, but they were in the speeder before much could be said. Even though the cameras pressed right through the door, Damian just waved them off, saying he was much better, and dialed for home. As soon as Raquel was inside, they were truly gone.
