So, my whole family and I just moved out of our house and are currently living with my mom's best friend. There are five people in my family and four in hers. That's nine effin' people in one three bedroom house. So far, it's been ok, but things are starting to get frustrating.
You see, I just graduated high school and my family is planning on moving to Cali. in August. I am staying here until December and then I don't really have a plan after that.
That's not really the issue. Right now my mom is pressuring me to get a job and I understand why but, I don't even have my damn driver's lisence and it's her fault! She hardly ever lets me drive. I can't get my lisence if I don't have enough practice driving and I can't get a job if I can't get myself there and back. When I did have a job, she always complained about how she had to take me to work! Talk about hypocritical!
I *would* ride the bus, but you have to understand something. Anxiety runs in my family and riding the bus alone is something I have serious trouble doing. My mom can't seem to understand that. >:
I'm just so frustrated right now because I feel like I'm stuck. I can't drive, I don't have a job, and I am stuck in a house with eight other people. [[Well, currently there is only seven.]]
Anyways... I realize that once I get a job things *should* get better... Hopefully.
I hate it when I am in a pessimisstic mood.
Thanks for reading. razz

is it worse or better if there are fewer people on the bus? or about the same? o.o
ive never been to HI or CA but in my mind... they both sound like great places to live. However, I have noticed that no matter where you live, your family is what makes where you are living a home.

Tama Hoshi is it worse or better if there are fewer people on the bus? or about the same? o.o ive never been to HI or CA but in my mind... they both sound like great places to live. However, I have noticed that no matter where you live, your family is what makes where you are living a home. It isn't the people on the bus that affect me, it's the whole "I hope I don't get off at the wrong stop." or "Am I on the right bus?!" I mean, it's simple to figure out what bus to ride and where to get off, but I really freak out... They are nice places to live. :] And you are right. Wouldn't be home without my family. ^^ Even though they get on my nerves.

Oh, wow, and all my friends thought I was crazy for freaking out on the MARTA (train thingum here in atlanta) I absolutely have to have someone ride marta with me or I just go crazy thinking that I missed the train or ill get off too early or too late or when I get there I wont even know which direction to go and Ill get turned around and get lost and wont be able to find my way back... it's scary... it really is. *huggles* I think with the bus you could always ask the driver when you are getting on saying "this is the buss that goes to ___________ right? " and if the driver seems nice enough you could try to sit towards the front and ask them to remind you when you get to the place... maybe? do you think that might help? Its really hard to do with riding the train because you dont get to see the conductor... but alot of times cops or security guards ride and I could ask them... O_o

Getting a driver's liscense is really easy now that your over 18. If you have any friends that just have an insured car you can ask them if you can use it to take the test at the dmv, assuming its road legal. If nothing else, it will get you an ID.

I know a little about how you feel. Not having a job or a liscene is terrible. Trying to get a liscene is hard because my mom has to work, although she wants me to learn. Either my friends don't have drivers liscenes or they aren't 21 or over. Living here, in the middle of no where is crappy because we don't have a bus system. Then my mom tells me that my little brother and I should get our liscenses, but the thing is she is always saying how the car insurance is so high. That idea will only raise it higher. I want to wait until I get a job so I can help pay the insuance, but then I can't get anyone to drive me to get applications or turn them in half the time. I'm stuck at home and it's giving me a severe anxiety. A little absence would do me some good because my family is getting on my nerves more and more. Hopefully, this will make you feel a little better.

@Tama: That's a good idea. :] I could always ask. That would help, I think. I would freak out if I had to ride a train! D: @Saint: The problem is getting in practice so I don't fail my test. I've been able to drive more recently though, so I'm happy about that! Thanks for your advice, btw. ^^
@Link: Wow! It sounds like you have a bigger problem than I do. :[ I hope things work out for you! *huggles*
Thanks for the advice guys! <3
