Dear Diary
For the last couple of weeks a little blue Firelizard has been visiting me in the kitchen, so I started saving scraps for him -- a really affectionate little guy too. Really, his company couldn't make me happier ever since I was pulled from the sands. However, there was still that pang of jealousy that the affectionate little guy belonged to somebody else.
Which was even more obvious when the other night one of the resident mindhealers came down to visit while I was spoiling my new little friend with some scraps I'd stashed over the course of my work-day. It turned out that the little firelizard, named 'Pavo' belonged to him.
The mindhealer was a very pleasant man named 'Chavel' who ended up inviting me out on a .. very late night walk to the beach after I'd mentioned the rumored gold-flit that supposedly clutches on said beach.
Yes. We walked there. Needless to say when we got there for our 'picnic' I was already a level of tired. I'm actually surprised I wasn't more grouchy by the time the meeting sort of reached its... 'height'.
Pavo, the ever affectionate, suddenly went into a panic! And what a panic -- it turned out that the presence of Tunnelsnakes had gotten his attention in time for us to.... throw three of them to their deaths while Pavo tried to save an abandoned green-clutch that had been mostly eaten.
But it seemed Pavo's efforts, and injury, weren't for nothing. It seems that Chavel and I, as well as Pavo, got there in time to save the last two survivors of the clutch....

I guess I'll be a mother soon -- though I think I need to find out if my little egg is alright. I just don't think I'll sleep peacefully until I know the little baby inside is alright.
