It was a rather lovely day at the park when Mizu and her newest charge had arrived. All of her other adoptive children were grown and doing their own things, so it was nice to have a small one around again, even though this newest part of the family was more on the bitey side.
Varanus was amusing himself by chomping on a metal ring. His teeth, being so sharp, poked holes through the typical teething ring, and technically, seeing as he had all of his teeth, wasn't teething anyway. He just...needed to chew on something.
"Where?" he inquired, mouth still full of ring.
"We are at the park Varanus. You can play on lots of different things here, just like your little play place at home," Mizu explained.
Varanus looked around before smiling a frightening toothy smile. "Slide," he stated, before going off on his own to the destination that he had claimed.

Alivia had brought her new daughter to the park, rather reluctantly. The elf wasn't actually very social, despite having a kind demeaner and being polite. So she was carrying the infant carefully, her arms placed rather clumsily under the child's head. (Though, Lizzy seemed to resent the support). It was clear the elf hadn't taken care of a child before. She didn't know what to do.
"Pawk." Aliza looked up at her mother with blue eyes. "Pawk, Mama." She pointed to the swings, the slide, everything, with one chubby finger. She was only just beginning to talk, and had that infant lisp. Today she was wearing a pair of purple over-alls and a pink t-shirt. Just right for playing at the park.

Varanus paid no mind to the elven lady and her small child, as this was a park and people were always coming and going. Instead he clambered up the steps of the slide and with agile movements swung his legs up and over into the slide, which made him catapault down the incline at a quick pace. He seemed to enjoy it though, as he laughed a manic laugh all the way down until he tumbled onto the mulch covered ground, to which he picked himself back up and started to repeat the process over again, sharp teeth flashing a frightening smile.

Lizzy had caught sight of the other boy, and like elven infants are prone to doing, toddled over to him when he went down the slide. "Hi! Wat oor 'ame?" She asked, trying to be as polite as she could. "I Lithy." She had that certain annoying lisp where she pronounced S's and Z's like th's.
