I am 28. When I was 16, I attempted suicide maybe 15 times or more. Lost count. Some of those times, I was just trying to get back into hospital as then I could see my psychiatrist every day for 2-3 hours instead of once a week for an hour.
It's not until I started studying nursing that I realised how close I came to dying when I overdosed on tablets. You'd be surprised how few paracetamol/acetaminophen you need to take to totally stuff your liver. You'll still be alive but you'll need a liver transplant.

I was anorexic for about 8 years (13-21) and then I swapped that for a drug addiction. Now I have recovered from all of that and life is looking good. I'm acing my nursing studies.

So 3 days ago, I find out that my brother has committed suicide, he lives 3 hours plane trip away from me.

I can't stop crying. It comes in waves. Sometimes I think I'm fine but then something reminds me of him and I lose it. I am to the point where I won't let myself think about it. I am trying so hard to forget about him because I just can't handle the pain. I have run through so many stereotypical reactions in just 3 days.

When someone in your family commits suicide it is absolutely devastating. Please, please don't do it. There is always another option. By suiciding, one person's pain ends but it sends so many other people to the depths of hell.

I'm 19, and attempted at the age of 16.
However, I changed my mind just soon enough.
I haven't even considered attempting since.

I'm 15 and I have attempt suicide 5 times and my parents oonly know of 1 time and made me say sorry and didn't care. My sister attempted and they took her to the hospital and got her a theripst.
