For awhile mother had been acting strange, she was happy and dancing like a school child and I wondered why. Shortly after coming home from school one day I found out why, we were going to see my father. Despite everything my mother loves my father, she was a proper pure blooded English woman, while he a son of an old Japanese family, and I was a half. He left us shortly after my seventh birthday in search for some creature, something he had been babbling on about for years mother had said. Now as I sat on the plane, mother said he had caught one and wanted to show it to me. Now growing up I knew little of my father, in fact when I try to remember my head starts to hurt and an anger that scares me seems to sink in on me, so I stopped trying to remember. Now we are landing and I know I will soon see my father for the first time in many years, I have no interest at all in the man.

We were picked up in an old town car, one where the family sits in back and a driver sits in front separated by a glass window. My father chatted on with my mother, but I did not even look his way but a few times to see he had dark eyes, just like any Japanese man of pure breeding of course. Me I was so proud I carried my mother’s looks, pale skin and blond hair; plus blue eyes that could get a nun in your bed, I liked my looks. Now as we left the car my father pulled me aside and told me to follow him into the shed to see this creature of his, having no wish to I shrugged and followed like a damn dog. As I stepped into the shed I saw tanks and such other things but it was too dark and my father smiled happily almost dancing to something covered with a sheet, and with a flourish of moment he pulled it away to reveal this strange dark shadowy creature.
I have never seen anything like it, it was a bit cute as it stared out of the tank with yellow eyes that made me think of a snakes, now that was something I liked. The creature seemed interested in me as well, it tried to push past the glass to get to me as I stepped forward, and suddenly the lights were flicked on and the creature screeched, teeth I had not seen suddenly appeared and the thing screamed as it struggled to get out of the tank to what I can only guess would be to eat me. Shocked I jumped back, but my father blocked my escape and kept me face forward to the creature; it was no longer cute but something out of your worst nightmares, and even I feared it. “Son this is the creature, took me a long time to catch one alive; no one can see them but you see it don’t you son?” He made a strange mad laugh of a sound before speaking again; all the while strong hands grasped my shoulders tightly to keep me still.
“Such a beautiful creature, this one is just a baby the big ones all die when I try to catch them, but if I raise this one myself it will become strong and I will get more!” The man laughed again, and a shiver went up my spine as a flash of memory came to me with something wiggling towards me but before I could see what it was, it gone and later I would forget I even had seen it. Now my father faced me toward him and then I saw his eyes, but they could not be called eyes for they were gone and blood seemed to leak from the empty sockets. In my fright instinct kicked in and I glared at him, my own eyes drilling right into those blackened holes; I don’t know why it felt like a battle but it did and suddenly I was slammed into the wall of the shed with a hand pressed into my throat. “So I see my boy isn’t meek at all, such a good perfect child you turned to be.” The way he said it sent shiver up my spine and I pushed him away only making him laugh.
“Come son you understand you must, these creatures are the perfect things, no other animal or human can live up to them!” The creature was still trying to get out of the tank, its yellow eyes I had admired seemed to sharpen into claws that dug deep into my heart and tried to pull something free. I screamed, I can easily admit to myself that I screamed in fear, pain, and some animal need, and then I ran. My mother was hardly out of the car; I don’t understand how it had only been such a short time for to me it felt like forever. In the end I dragged her back to the car and drove us both back to our plane where I took us home. Since then mother has been much colder toward me, even to the point of hating me. I don’t know why but it is not such a large difference in attitude toward me that can make me double think what was going on.

I had been out fighting, I got beaten by a damn lead pipe and I swore I was going to die as I sat besides some buildings unable to move. Suddenly a blond girl started helping me, confused I followed and my wounds were treated, there I meet Hina; the tiger gang leader and someone I hated for she took the one person I found myself able to love. However the blond girl proved to be a little bubbly light and I warmed up to her which surprised me still more. I slowly healed; as I did I stayed with her and learned strangely that she was a he. Ciri, such an odd name for a boy but then he was not Japanese. After awhile I left, I am ashamed to say I forgot to call him later, instead I went back to my old life style; and something made me start to really fight again and the rush I got from it was better than anything, but for the life of me I could not remember if it felt this way when I had fought before.
I also started messing with poisons and found I enjoyed doing it, of course I tested them out of people, but I always looked for those that had their eyes slowly turning to black, for those creatures were getting closer. I was getting a bit worried over myself however, I found I was getting angered easily, and that fighting was such I thrill I did not want to stop. It must have been because of how scared I had been; a new will to live perhaps.
