When I was little, I had a collection of porcelain dolls dressed in cute Victorian dresses that my grandmother gave me. I had to put them in the crawl space next to my room because they freaked out my friends. Then my mother gave them to her friend's daughter without telling me! I really miss them now! D:

That's just mean. I have one Victorian glass doll that I've had since I was little, and I'm rather fond of it, but It's a glass doll, It's not like you can play with it, so putting it in a place that is normal, it doesn't mean you don't want it. I would be really mad if I were you, lol

Oh dear. D: That wasn't very nice of your mom. Perhaps you could wait until she grows out of them, then claim them back?
My dolls should never have left the crawlspace. My grandmother gave me somewhere around 30 collector porcelain dolls... when I was seven. These were dolls worth at least $50 each. I didn't understand that their hair wasn't supposed to be cut and that you weren't supposed to unglue the things in their hands. Or, y'know, rip out the stitching that kept their clothes on them.
I really regret that now. I pieced them back together the best I could and put them back in the crawlspace, except for one (which is technically part of a "Monday's Child, Tuesday's Child, etc. set, but I couldn't bear to let him go!).
My grandmother was really, really mad though. redface
